Massages and So Much More (Deep Ocean)
The massage candle is excellent. It lasts a long time so that you do not have to stop and reapply. A little goes a long way. There is no residue or sticky/oily feeling when you are done with your massage. Great skin softening. Lightens scars and stretch marks. Deep Ocean has a fresh, crisp, fresh linen scent. Scent is quite strong when the candle is unlit. This was not a problem for me but may be for some.

Cons
Strong Scent when Unlit
I give my husband massages at least 3-4 times per week. Generally, we use massage oil. This is our first massage candle. We could not be more pleased. It is easy to work with and goes a long way. It does not leave an oily, sticky or flakey residue on you or your clothes. It does not appear to stain your clothes or sheets. A big plus when you do not have to do a load of wash after a relaxing massage.
Melting
If you just cannot wait, you can scoop out some of the wax and start rubbing it in. Due to the very low melting point, it will be back to oil form in a few seconds. Being someone who is quite impatient this is a big plus. For those who don't mind waiting, it takes about 20-25 minutes to get a pool large enough for a good back rub. You do not need much because the oil stays workable for quite some time. It also spreads easily and a small amount goes a long way.
* Travel Warning
Due to the low melting point of this candle, you will want to be careful when traveling with it in warmer temperatures. Heat will cause it to liquify. Since the lid is not air tight, it can leak. I recommend storing it in a zip lock baggie and keeping it in an upright position during travel to avoid getting oil all over your travel bag.
Packaging
The candle comes in a black tin. The bottom portion is made of a thicker painted metal. On the front is the Kama Sutra name and logo. At the top it indicates it is a Massage Candle and at the bottom the scent is listed. On the back are directions in several languages. On the bottom is a listing of ingredients and warnings. There is a pour spout on one side to allow you to easily remove the wax. This candle does not come with a small spoon as some other massage candles do. The top is made of a thin black metal with Kama Sutra embossed on the top. Although fairly discreet, you may not want to leave out a product with the Kama Sutra label on it.
Ingredients
Cocus Nucifera (Coconut) Oil,
Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil,
Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Oil,
Caprycil/Capric Triglyceride (Fractionated Coconut Oil),
Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Oil,
Tocopherol (Vitamin E) Oil,
Butyrospermum Parki (Shea Butter)
Simmondsia Chinesis (Jojoba) Seed Oil,
Fragrance
Directions
Trim wick 1/4" before burning. Let burn 20 minutes until a pool of oil forms. Extinguish flame. Pour oil into your hand and work into your lover. For those, like me, who do not like to be constrained by directions, I poured the oil directly from the tin. The oil is very warm but not hot enough to burn you even immediately after blowing out the candle.
Scent
We chose the Deep Ocean scent. I am not into Almond scented things and my husband is not a huge fan of smelling like a bouquet of flowers after a massage. So we settled on the Deep Ocean. It has a crisp scent of freshly washed linens. When you first open the candle the scent is quite strong and filled the entire room. Oddly enough, it was hardly noticeable when the candle was lit.

Experience
I would recommend this over any of the massage oils we have. The light of the candle gives a romantic feel to the room before you start the massage and the heated oil is very relaxing. We have several massage oils, including Kama Sutra and Lelo oils. We prefer this candle over all of them. It will definitely stay at the top of our list for massages.
The smooth feel and ease of working with this is great. After an hour massage, it was still workable although had started to absorb. There was no messy residue left on either of us, our clothes or bedding following the massage.
It is not meant to be tasted and is not flavored. It has a slightly soapy taste if you kiss your lover during or immediately following a massage.
The very best thing about it is how well it moisturizes. This works far better than any of the moisturizers I have. In fact, I massaged some onto a recent scar on my hand and found that it lightened and lessened appearance of the scaring. I assume that it will also help with stretch marks since it has Vitamin E and Shea Butter. I even use this to moisturize my dry elbows.

Follow-up commentary
13 months after original review
This is still one of my favorite massage candles. I have it in the Tropical Nights now called Tropical Plumeria and the Cocoa Mint Seduction.
The Tropical Nights/Plumeria has a strong floral sent. To me it smells like a mix of lilac, gardenia and lilly. I love all those scents so it is great for me. For those liking more masculine scents, this would not be for you.
The Cocoa Mint has a light chocolate cocoa smell that is overpowered by the menthol smell. I do not care for the scent at all.
The consistency of all three is the same; very moisturizing and remains workable throughout the massage. I still use it on my dry elbows regularly. Although not overpowering, all three have a noticeable scent which is stronger when you take off the lid than when the candle is burning. Those very sensitive to scents may find these candles too much.
