If you're looking for something insanely powerful for your Clit of Steel, and loud enough to wake the neighbors... The Hitachi Magic Wand may be for you.

Pros
Powerful!! Great for massages.
Cons
LOUD, not discreet, short power cord, not waterproof.
This is the magic wand that every woman is supposed to own. It is electric, loud, and the cord is only about six feet long. The Hitachi's huge head offers teeth rattling vibrations that cover a broad area. Unless you are a woman with a Clit Of Steel, the Hitachi is better used as a back and shoulder massager.
It also makes a nice torture device for anyone who enjoys forced orgasms.
The Hitachi Magic Wand is made mostly from a hard white plastic. The head of the Hitachi is made of a softer plastic that has a pebbled texture like vinyl chairs. The texture isn't pronounced enough to add any extra stimulation during use.
Personally, I think the design could have been updated over the years. It just looks cheap and ugly to me. It is big and clunky. Not something I would want to leave sitting out. The large size makes using this difficult if you have arthritis or weak hands. The head isn't flexible at all and this toy may be too heavy or awkward for some people to use.
It is a little over 12" long, the round head is about 2 1/2" wide. The cord is 76" (about six feet) long, so you may need an extension cord or have an electrical outlet near your bed.
The Hitachi Magic Wand is easy to use, thanks to it only having two settings on a handy little flip switch. Plug in your cord to the nearest available outlet, flip the switch to "L" for the low setting or "H" for the high setting. You may want to try turning it on when the house is completely empty, because this thing is LOUD. It rivals my ancient blender when it comes to noise level. If I had neighbors, I'm sure they would be able to hear it.
This has the tendency to start heating up if used for more than five minutes, and isn't waterproof, so you have to use it on the outside of your clothes or use a toy wipe to clean it.
It's easy enough to care for. Since it can't be taken apart and isn't waterproof you are pretty much limited to wiping it down with an antibacterial toy wipe or a 10% bleach/90% water solution after you've unplugged it. The Hitachi is pretty big, so it may not fit in your usual toy box or hidey-holes. I store mine in the closet in a big cardboard box with my lingerie.
I was really on the fence about getting this. I have heard most of my friends brag about how awesome their Hitachi Magic Wands were and wanted to see for myself knowing that most buzzy vibrators only succeed in making my girly-bits numb.
When it showed up, I was surprised. I didn't think it was going to be this big and heavy! How can people use this solo without getting wrist cramps? I plugged it in and turned it to the "L" setting. Wow! This thing is LOUD! I tried it first as a shoulder massager. It was very relaxing! Within the first five minutes the engine started to heat up, so I gave it a quick test on my clit. It took less than a minute for everything in my panties to go numb.
That was it for me. I knew the magical Hitachi wasn't going to be my Prince Charming. He has been retired from sex object to my own personal masseuse.

As a sex toy, the wondrous and fabled Hitachi Magic Wand doesn't do it for me. The vibrations are too strong and all over the place, even through clothing or a towel. It takes mere moments before it leaves my ladybits numb and confused. I'll stick to using my G4 Tiger or Mimi for that.
It does work wonders as a shoulder massager! I'll give it credit for that!

I use it as a muscle massager and not as a sex toy. I find it kind of... off for a sex toy.
