Body Language Shea Butter lotion is a thick, creamy moisturizer best used for areas of skin that are extra dry or chapped. It's paraben free, with mostly safe, natural ingredients, many of which are safe enough to eat or use for cooking.

This lotion is lightly scented with a Sweet Pea and Violet fragrance. It does contain several oil ingredients. They eventually absorb into the skin, but not fast enough that you will want to use this on your hands if you need dry hands immediately after applying lotion.

Vixen Shea Butter lotion is just a bit thicker than the average hand lotion. It is a white, shiny cream.

It is packaged in a squeeze bottle. Once out of the bottle, the lotion doesn't seem unusually thick, but squeezing out the lotion requires more pressure than you would expect. This lotion is almost thick enough that perhaps it should have been packaged in a tub.

It contains several moisturizing oils. It takes several minutes for them to absorb into the skin. You will want to use this either on areas where a slight oily residue for a few minutes doesn't matter, or right before bed.

Vixen Shea Butter lotion has a light, pleasant scent of Sweat Pea and Violets. The scent isn't overpowering. You will probably only notice it right after you squeeze some from the bottle. When freshly applied, others who you are near will notice it and will most likely be pleased.

The main ingredient of this product is Shea Butter, an oil extracted from the nut of the African Shea tree. It is widely used as a high quality moisturizer to help heal and repair chapped, dry or irritated skin. This lotion also contains Rice Bran Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil and Sweet Almond Oil, which absorb into the skin and have their own moisturizing properties.

Used on the body or face, it absorbs in relatively quickly. On the hands absorption seems to take a bit longer. You will probably not want to use this on your hands right before you use your hands for other activities where they need to be dry.

I have been using this product on my hands and face every night. I don't notice a remarkable difference on my face, perhaps because the vitamin E cream I usually use is also excellent. I have noticed that the skin around my cuticles is smoother and nicer already. I have a problem with the skin in that area being very dry. The skin around my cuticles is quick to become rough, to break, and start snagging things. Since I started applying this cream daily, that is less of a problem. My cuticles look terrific right now.

I recommend this as a night-time hand cream to keep your cuticle skin smooth and looking good.
