This three-part kit (Lover's sensual massage kit) includes a massage mitt, a small “body massager,” and a small container of massage oil. The mitt is by far the weakest part of the package. As I expected it would, it came out of the package smelling strongly of plastic, but that went away with a couple of washes. What I didn’t expect, and what turned out to be the worst part, was that it was covered in a slimy plastic residue, and even after several washes it stained the edge of my bathtub (where it sat for a few days) bright purple. Still to this day, it has a feeling like it is leaving behind a layer of plastic gunk.

As for how it actually works, I’d say using it during a massage does provide a nice added texture, but greatly reduces the dexterity of the person giving the massage, so it’s not good for a strong, deep massage. Also, being a big purple rubber mitt, it kind of makes the wearer’s hand look like it should be attached to a muppet, which can detract from the ambiance of a sexual encounter. This has the potential to negate any enjoyment you might get from the interesting texture sensation it provides, unless you are into muppets.

The “body massager” is your everyday ordinary 5-inch plastic vibrator; no bells or whistles. I find this a handy thing to have around, but it’s not anything special. It doesn’t really work well with the mitt, as far as I’m concerned. It was too difficult to manipulate a small toy inside this big rubber thing, and not nearly powerful enough to actually do any good massaging.

The massage oil was the high point of the set, with a nice texture and a lovely lavender scent. It’s a nice size for a travel case (conveniently under the new FAA 3 ounce maximum) and I will definitely enjoy using it, but probably without the other items in the set.
