Inevitably, the bottle will run out and I will have to buy more.
Do I keep taking the last of things? The past two orders I've made have both been quickly followed by an "out of stock" notification on the product's page. The only reason I bring this phenomenon up is because I am extremely apologetic that you can't get your hands on this eos (evolution of smooth) complete care hand and body lotion right away. Regardless, I think that it is worth the wait.
Eos hand and body lotions comes in three compositions: boost (complete care), nourish (revitalizing care), and refresh (active care). Each is dermatologist tested, hypoallergenic, and free of parabens, lanolin, phthalates, and dyes. The boost lotion is 90% natural, compared to its 97% natural siblings.
Eos boost hand and body lotion comes in an attractive and recyclable pearly plastic bottle. The simple design and sturdy pump give appeal even before you dispense your first drop of lotion. Another nice thing about the pump is its twist-and-lock ability, which would be good for travel or other situations where you don't want lotion squirting every time it gets bumped the wrong way.
Despite the merits of its packaging, using the lotion itself was the true test: a test that boost passed with flying colors. Where do I start? I am so accustomed to heavy lotions that take forever to blend, smell like nothing at all or a field of artificial flowers, and/or irritate my body. On the contrary, boost blended quickly but left my skin feeling refreshed (slightly cool, but not in that icky menthol way) and moisturized. Especially with hand lotions, it is very nice to have a lotion that blends quickly so that you can get on with other tasks and stop sitting around, waiting for the moisturizers to sink in.
Scent-wise, boost has a very light, pleasant, and hard-to-place scent. The closest I could get to putting a finger on it without referring elsewhere was oats and vanilla. I now suspect that Shea butter is also part of this delectably soothing symphony of scent. Regardless of the actual scent-breakdown, I want to make sure that you appreciate the lightness and general appeal of it. I feel like very few people would dislike this scent, and I am a very big fan of it. Hurray for boost, for mastering the art of subtlety in a world full of candy-sweet perfumes and women who are remembered by the cloud of fake-flowery fragrance that they leave behind!
As far as irritation goes, I usually expect that lotions will leave me at least a little bit itchy after application. This was not at all the case with boost. Instead, boost left me moisturized and pretty-smelling without even the tiniest itch. I would even venture to say that boost soothes my itchy skin instead.
Overall, my boost complete care hand and body lotion has been a fantastic purchase, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new hand and body lotion that really does the trick.

Experience
Both I and my boyfriend are big fans of this lotion; we both love the light scent and how smooth it leaves my skin! Since guys (and girls, even though that isn't my experience) can sometimes be off-put by flowery or obnoxious smells, I am glad that this scent is subtle, natural, and extremely pleasant. Another great thing about my boyfriend loving this lotion is that he is happy to put it on for me! That, right there, is a big plus and makes the rubbing-in experience a lot more fun for everyone.
Follow-up commentary
7 months after original review
I still love my EOS body lotion as much as I did when I got it. Now that winter is coming around again, I'm really looking forward to smoothing some amazingly moisturizing but incredibly light lotion into my elbows, hands, and knees. The ability to avoid "lizard hands" is truly the best Christmas present of all (okay, maybe not, but you get what I'm saying). If I run out before the season is over, hopefully Santa will bring me a new bottle!
