Little Octopus Friend
The Octo-pleaser is a fun addition to massages and can be used on land or sea (And by sea I mean the shower or bath, unless massaging in the ocean is your thing.). It's cute and doesn't look like anything that could be remotely used as a sex toy unlike some massagers, making it a safe object to leave out for any eyes to see.

That's cute, what does it do?
The "Octo-pleaser" by Pipedream is a massager, and not in the way most of us on Eden think of massagers. No, this one is primarily for back rubs and the like. It doesn't vibrate and it's not a sex toy. It pairs nicely with massage oil, lotion, or the wax from a candle meant for massages.
Who is it for?
Anyone can use this, from children to the elderly. It would make a fun gift for someone who collects octopus-related things or someone who has muscle aches. I bought this for my own muscle pain and find it a very fun way to ease the tension, especially after a hot bath.
What's it made of and what does it look like?
It's made out of transparent plastic with a light purple cast, molded into an octopus shape. Others have described it as being almost blue. It looks different in person than in photos so I couldn't capture the true color very well. I like it though!
The nice thing about a plastic massager is its durability. I've looked into getting a ceramic one before but I got paranoid about dropping it. I'm sure this one can hold up to my clumsiness! It's also good for cleanliness, since plastic is easy to clean. If you happen to get this dirty, soap and water will do the trick to get it clean again. Yes, it's definitely waterproof. Take it in the shower or tub if you want, just shake the water out after you're done if it gets in the head/knob. It's also latex-free, hypoallergenic, and free of phthalates.
The massager has eight tentacles that curve down against your skin in use, giving pinpoint sensation. What I found amusing is that they have some details that look like suckers, but they're placed on top where they can't offer any added stimulation in use. The top part that you hole while giving a massage looks like an octopus's head, with two big eyes and a little mouth. It looks perpetually surprised which is cute.
I noticed that the "head" portion is actually hollow, with some plastic in the way on the underside. At first I wondered if this was meant to facilitate filling the head with massage oil, but then I realized how hard that would be to clean. I'm guessing the actual reason for it is to keep it lightweight. You could definitely try filling it though, rinsing it out thoroughly after to prevent future messes.

It stands almost four inches tall and is around four inches wide. Each tentacle is about one and a half inches long not including the downwards curve. The head/knob is one and a half inches wide, and almost two inches long including the "neck" portion. It fits perfectly in my hand, which is on the smaller side as far as hands go.
It's small, cute, and definitely travel-friendly.
How is it packaged?
It's packaged very simply. It came to me in a plastic bag with a tag.
Please note what the white disclaimer sticker. It's absolutely hilarious. I'm guessing the wrong sticker got on the bag, because the Octo-pleaser is definitely not a penis-enhancing device! Picturing it being used as one gave me a good laugh though.
What's it like in use?
If you prefer massagers with rolling balls, you might not like this one. The ends of the tentacles drag across your skin, which I think feels fine but not everyone will agree. It drags less with massage oil or lotion.
I also don't recommend pressing too hard into your body, as the plastic has no give to it and can be uncomfortable if dug in deep. I prefer gently gliding it over tired muscles.
So, do you recommend it?
Absolutely! It's cheap and you could do a lot worse when it comes to cheap massagers. I like that this one doesn't require any batteries to feel nice and I personally don't like most buzzy massagers anyway (They make my skin feel tickled in a not so nice way.).
