Jumping on the EF Wipes Bandwagon
Despite all the rave reviews, I was slow to try out EF’s toy and body wipes, mainly because I don’t use wipes very often to begin with. That said, if you are the kind of person who does like having wipes on hand, these are a good choice. I doubt that I would ever actually purchase them, but they make a great freebie, so I’ll probably try to keep a small stockpile of them.

Pros
Anti-microbial, convenient size, pleasant scent, good packaging, don't contain alcohol
Cons
A bit expensive, contain glycerin, not 100% hypoallergenic
So what sets these apart from the wipes you can buy at any grocery store? Well, to start off with, the ingredients. A lot of wet wipes use alcohol, which can dry and irritate your skin. Others have artificial fragrances that some users may be allergic to. Eden Fantasys’ wipes don’t totally get around the problem of irritation, but they are a step up from the other options.
The ingredients are as follows: water, chlorhexidine, glycerin, aloe extract, vitamin E, and tea tree oil. The inclusion of chlorhexidine—an antiseptic that can irritate the skin—does make you wonder about the claim that the wipes are hypoallergenic, but to be fair, wipes have to contain some kind of cleaning agent, and those kinds of ingredients are generally not known for their gentleness. The glycerin is a bit more problematic, since it can cause yeast infections in women. Be careful if you use the wipes near your vagina, and consider rinsing any toys you’ve cleaned with the wipes before using them (internally) again. Vitamin E, aloe, and tea tree oil are all natural ingredients that should pose no problems.
EF’s wipes have a very light, fresh scent—so light, in fact, that I can’t really identify it. It smells floral to me, but I can’t say much besides that. I will say, though, that as someone who is picky about fragrances, the scent is quite pleasant; it’s ever so slightly sweet without being cloying. It’s hard to know whether the wipes’ anti-microbial properties are working, but my toys certainly smell clean when I use the wipes on them.
I’m not an expert, but I’d say the texture of these wipes is similar to that of others—maybe just a touch softer, since they feel more like fabric than any paper product. They’re fairly thick—they certainly won’t tear easily—but their texture is a bit coarse (though not in terms of how they feel to the touch), so they could easily snag on pointy edges. Each wipe is about 7 1/2” by 6 3/4,” so one should be sufficient to clean a small or average-sized toy. There are only ten per package, though, so use them wisely!
I haven’t tried using these as body wipes—I virtually always shower after sex/masturbation anyway—but they’re pretty good for cleaning toys. I still use soap and water for the majority of my toys, but for the handful that are made of slightly more porous material, I use a wipe just to be sure I got them thoroughly clean, and I assume that they’re working. My one complaint is that they are very dry for wet wipes. The good news about this is that they don’t make a mess and the bit of moisture they leave on toys dries quickly. Psychologically, though, I would feel a bit better with a slightly wetter wipe, so that I’d feel like I’m really cleaning the toys rather than just polishing them.
Dorky as it sounds, one of the best things about these wipes is the packaging. Because each package has only ten wipes, it’s small enough to carry in a purse, or possibly even a pocket. What’s more, the fact that the moisture they leave behind dries fast and leaves no sticky residue makes the wipes excellent for everyday, non-sexual use—say, as a way of cleaning your hands when you’re on the go. Best of all, the seemingly minimal packaging—a sort of pouch with a pull-up tab that reseals—really does keep the wipes wet; I opened my current set of EF wipes a few weeks ago and they don’t seem to have lost any moisture. In other words, these wipes are excellent for traveling—the only downside is that the words “Eden Fantasys” and “The Sex Shop You Can Trust” are written on the packaging, so if you aren’t careful, you might end up revealing a bit more about what yourself and what you do in your spare time than you’d care to.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
I love these wipes more and more as time goes by. I'm pretty obsessive about cleaning, so I still rinse most of my toys in water, but I also use these to disinfect things that aren't 100% silicone and see a lot of use, like my L'Amour Kegel balls. Plus, I absolutely adore the light scent; seriously, if EF ever decided to make a body mist or room freshener in this scent, I would be all over it.

They're definitely a good choice for a freebie if you can remember to add them
