The Hitachi magic wand vibrator is one intense piece of machinery. And i don't hesitate to call it machinery at all. Once you get this bad boy and turn it on you WILL understand what i mean. This vibrator is for external use only. It can be used to stimulate your clitoral and outer vaginal area, as well as give a great massage to just about any other part of your body. I especially love back and neck massages with this vibrator. This toy will work for anyone who loves power! If heavy vibrations are too much for you, i would definitely pass on this toy! This toy is not quiet so be prepared! When i first turned it on, it was so loud it was actually intimidating! The Hitachi is made out of a finely textured, soft plastic which is rated an 8 on the Eden safety scale. It has a little give to it, with a ridge around the top. I did not notice any sort of smell or taste to it. I don't think the texture of the ridge added any extra stimulation for me, as it is so high up on the toy it isn't the part that i am using. The fine texture of the entire head does add a little stimulation. The head of the toy is connected to a flexible neck that gives this toy much more mobility and reach. While the texture may be suitable for beginners, the toy itself is definitely not.

This is one big vibrator. Everything about this vibrator is somewhat intimidating. The shape and size, the sound, and the strength of the vibrations. Because of the size of this beast, i have found that any sort of extended use will give me a definite hand cramp. Its a good thing that the strength of this toy means i dont usually have to use it for long! The shape of the head is perfect for me though i could see how others would find it too big for the type of stimulation that they like. This toy is definitely for advanced users. This toy has 3 setting. Off, Low, and High. The controls are a switch, when perfectly balanced it is off, push either direction for your on settings. I like where the switch is located. It is easy to turn on and off after the toy is already in place and in case of an embarrassing situation it is easy to turn off quickly. The high setting is VERY intense. It is very quick buzzy vibrations that make me go numb in about 30 seconds. The low setting is a deeper, more rumbly vibrations but still very strong. I prefer the lower setting much more than that high setting. This toy is very noisy. Be prepared to feel like your in a construction zone the first few times you use it. After a few times i got more used to the sound so it didn't throw me off so badly but i know it can still be heard through a closed door, even underneath the blanket. This toy has to be plugged into an electrical outlet, and is not at all waterproof. But being a plug in toy, it has all the power you will ever need without having to charge, or worry about batteries.

This toy is easy to care for. I use Eden wipes to clean the head of this toy and wipe down the wand handle. I always make sure to unplug this toy when i am done using it and i store it in my toy/lingerie drawer. This toy is compatible with all lube types, though i have never needed to use any lube with it.
