I finally found love the day I set my sights on the Hot Love Massagers by Cal Exotics. The reusable hot pink massagers are about the size of the palm of your hand just over 3.5" diameter and boasts the words Hugs and Kisses on them. Because these are of decent, yet small size they are perfect for using as hand warmers, to put in your pockets on a cold day, or even to calm cramping or body aches. Amazingly, they are only $9.99!
Simply snap the little metal disc inside of the massagers and the crystals will form and raise the heat level until it maxes out at about 130°. Thankfully, Steve Spangler (the guy that made the soda explosion with Mentos on TV) the Science Guy was able to dumb it down a little for me to better understand the inner workings of these massagers. It's actually quite simple. Commercially available hand warmers use a supersaturated solution of sodium acetate. These products consist of a concentrated aqueous salt solution together with a flexible metallic activator strip (usually stainless steel) in a sealed, flexible container. Sodium acetate and calcium nitrate are examples of suitable salts. These salts are much more soluble in hot water than in cold water. The flexible metal strip is bent back and forth a few times, whereupon a white cloud of crystals begins to precipitate. Within seconds, the entire pack is filled up with solid crystalline needles of sodium acetate without any solution left, and the temperature rises to 130°F for about 30 minutes. Because heat is released upon this precipitation, it is called an exothermic reaction. Simple right?!
Now that my IQ has hit an all-time high, we can move on!
I have found a ton of uses for these bad boys. Not one of them included me being massaged, but if there are any volunteers out there I am totally willing to let you message me for the sake of my review. Really, I don't mind. Anyway, so I have used them to sooth my cramps, to put under my back while I am laying down after a long day, in my pockets and the pockets of my children on cold mornings while we wait for the school bus. Even on Halloween my kids had these in their pockets allowing them push on and hit all those houses that I totally didn't want to go to. Yay me!
The number one best thing about these awesome massagers. When they cool down, all you have to do is boil them for 10 minutes which also heats them up for a bit. They typically stay warm for an average of about 45 minutes or so. And when they cool down, you can go ahead and snap 'em all over again! There is no end to the warmth (so far)!
To deactivate them, simply boil them back to liquid form. Towel dry. Do not store until they are cooled. I like to do this to prep them for the next use, rather than realizing that I want to use them and then waiting 10 minutes for them to boil and then to cool.

Experience
I absolutely love these. I plan on getting them for all of my children, parents, and a few other people for gifts. They would make great stocking stuffers!
I have had nothing but great experiences with them. I especially love how on a cold morning I can just slip them into my kids’ pockets to keep them warm while waiting for the school bus. I also use them for cramps, aches and pains. Or sometimes just to warm myself up. There are so many uses!

Follow-up commentary
12 days after original review
I still think these are the best. I have ordered them for my kids and a few others for stocking stuffers and everyday use. No more freezing cold hands at the bus stop in the mornings. They are also great for soothing cramps, muscle aches and many other things. I love them and I have never found a negative thing to say about them!

Incredible job on the review! Thanks for letting us know the size of these. Sounds really handy to have right now, during the cold weather. I'm always cold, so these would certainly come in handy for warming my buns up! Lol. Thanks for sharing.

These by far are my favorite warming massagers... May be more out there but more than likely not as easy as these... Great review...
