Honey Drenched Massage
Overall, the massage candle is all you'd expect. It provides a nice, though strongly scented, oil for massage. Very usable- not just a gimmick product.

Pros
Easy to use, attractive, works well
Cons
Strongly Scented
I've never used a massage candle before, so was very excited to receive and try out the 'Light My Fire' massage candle by Love to Love. There is something distinctly romantic and sexy about flames and massage, and this combination did not disappoint.
The candle comes in a square box with black and pink print. The print on the box is in French, as the candle is made in France, which adds a layer of romance. It does make it trickier for gifting, though. Inside the box is the candle. The wax is held in a ceramic cube- each side having a pink bold letter to spell out L O V E. There is no spout, but the wax can be effectively dripped from a corner.
As I opened the candle, the honey smell hit me immediately. It is strong and surprisingly accurate. I followed the instructions to light the candle and let it burn 20 minutes to get a good pool of melted oil. Then I blew it out and we were ready to go. The texture was perfect- a warm massage oil.
My husband was hesitant to let me drip wax on him, so I was the massage recipient. No problem! The oil was warm and soothing and sensual- not too hot or too waxy. The oil was perfectly slippery for a massage, and the 20 minutes of burning yielded a little more than enough for a good 10 minute back rub for one person. I highly enjoyed the massage, though I found the honey scent a bit powerful. My husband, who is very sensitive to scent (can't walk into Bath and Body Works), found it overwhelming. I was strongly scented afterward, and it required some hand scrubbing on his part to lessen the honey smell. If you or your loved one is sensitive to smell, probably best to skip this product.
The Love to Love website says that this massage candle contains shea butter and jojoba to soften skin. I found that to be true, my skin was softer and still very scented the next day. The oil absorbed nicely, though not as thoroughly as a lighter lotion- there was a slight residue on my skin after. The candle looked as though it had barely been used- I'd estimate that the candle contains enough for at least 10 uses.

The candle scent is a little too strong for hubby, but I still recommend it for anyone looking for a honey scented experience.
