Looking for something that will give you an extra edge when meeting women? Look no further. System Jo has designed a deodorant that is safe for daily use and that is infused with pheromones. Now you can attract women like bees to honey! Well, at the very least you won't have as much body odor.
System JO Pheromone deodorant for men is designed as a sensual attractant for heterosexual men. This product is an easy way for men to use a pheromone daily while also getting some odor control. While the deodorant won't stand up to vigorous exercise, it should be sufficient for controlling body odor associated with routine daily activities. Whether or not pheromones actually work is debatable, but it's worth giving a try if you're interested.
Although the product is an opaque white (reminiscent of a certain bodily fluid), it applies clear on the skin. The liquid has some viscosity to it and a slight sticky feel that persists after the product has completely dried. Even at the end of the day it felt as if there were some residue remaining on the skin. The product dried within a few seconds after application.
The product is listed as odorless, but there is a definite scent that is slightly sweet, slightly floral, with a hint of sour. The scent is not as unpleasant as it sounds, but is also not a typically masculine scent. The odor is not noticeable once applied unless you really stick your nose into the application area (i.e. your pits).
Underarm odor is a result of bacteria on the skin interacting with sweat. Since this product is a deodorant and, not an anti-perspirant, it will only help to control the odor and will not prevent the source. The product was reasonably effective at controlling odors associated with normal daily activities, but was less effective under more strenuous conditions, such as vigorous exercise. As mentioned previously, there was a bit of residue remaining at the end of the day. However, the residue easily washed off in the shower the next day. This product would appeal to individuals that are looking for a mild level of odor control with no heavy scents as typical of most body care products.
The deodorant comes in a 2.5 oz. plastic bottle that is tastefully packaged in masculine black, silver, and red lettering. The label clearly states “pheromone” and “sensual attractor” and is not completely discreet. Instructions indicate that the product should be applied daily after showering. The screw on cap is easy to remove; although, the roller ball does not function well. Rather than gliding during application, the roller ball seemed to get stuck, often requiring me to use my fingers to get it rolling again. The small size is typical of deodorants and would be convenient for travel.
Androstenol is a steroid produced by the human body and is reported to affect human behavior. Specifically, smelling of androstenol has been shown to trigger the region of the brain associated with mating behavior. Whether this indicates that humans can actually detect and respond to pheromones remains unclear. Androstenol is reported to make the wearer seem more approachable and impart romantic feelings. At the very least, this product may provide a placebo effect on the user into believing it will impart the beneficial characteristics and give a boost in confidence. No such effects were observed during a one week trial period.
None of the ingredients have any major health concerns associated with use. As with all cosmetics, discontinue use if any irritation occurs. The deodorant contains the following ingredients:
Zinc Ricinoleate is a derivative of castor seed oil and helps to reduce or eliminate odors.
Xanthan Gum is manufactured from the fermentation of corn sugar and is typically added to cosmetics as a viscosity agent.
Chamomile Extract is derived from the flower of the chamomile plant and is used to control microbial growth.
Potassium Alum is an inorganic salt that is added to cosmetics as an astringent.
Phenoxyethanol is used as a preservative in cosmetics by preventing or retarding microbial growth. It may cause irritation to the skin and eyes.
Anrostenol (see Special Features)
Alcohol (Denatured) is added to cosmetics as an astringent, solvent, and antimicrobial agent.
Aqua (purified water)
Follow-up commentaryI don't like it anymore7 months after original review
I kept the product for several months with the intent of trying it again for a follow-up review. However, the scent seems to have developed into an even stronger sour smell which was not pleasing at all. Needless to say, I opted to not apply it.

I almost gagged when I read your title! Great review though!

Fantastic review (especially your ingredients list)! Looks like you cheated and opened the main chamber to show off its viscosity? Or did that happen easily? My mom wears roll-on deodorant and I've never seen the stuff up-close.

Love the review!

Well, I did gag! lol Love that title Kindred.
Can't say I would buy it for the pheromones but it doesn't sound to bad as a deodorant. I hate roll-on's though.

@B8trDude - Almost gagged? Then I failed...
Kindred
@Antipova - I pried off the lid, but it was relatively easy to do. As any scientist, I was curious as to what it looked like. Thanks.
Kindred
@Subbi - Thank you!
@ToyTimeTim - Mission accomplished! I've never tried a roll-on before, but this one didn't really roll very well. I probably wouldn't bother unless you wanted to try it for the pheromones.

Great review! The picture was enough to turn me off of it, though, I think

great review, but it does not sound like one I will try.

Kindred, well it will make you happy, I didn't gag - I LOST MY LUNCH!

Great review. I've never actually seen what roll on deodorant looks like outside the bottle, the viscosity is a bit less than I would have expected. Too bad this isn't an antiperspirant, that would make it a more useful product. Love the title though, definitely piqued my interest to read it, even though it grossed me out a bit at the thought too.
