According to Your Dictionary.com, the term sensual is an adjective. The definition states Sensual describes something that is pleasing to your body and your senses. The example that they use is "An example of sensual is a soft fabric that is enjoyable to touch".

This is a body lotion that is designed for all skin types. It can be used on a daily basis and is paraben-free and no animal testing was done using this product. It is good for moisturizing your skin, "revitalizing" your skin or even for massages, although I did not use it for a massage. However, the label does state that it could be used that way.

The ingredients are: Water (Eau), Canola Oil, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cyclopentasiloxane,, Cyclohexasiloxane, Dimethicone, Steareth-21, Cetyl Lactate, Cetyl Alcohol, Copulandrone, Couline-alike, Reconstituted Andronone, Algin, Propylene Glycol, Steareth-2, Stearic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Sorbic Acid, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance, Blue1 (CI 42090), Yellow 5 (CI 19140)

I consider this to have a light to medium consistency. Pictures can explain better than words what I am trying to say though.

When I first applied it to my hand:


After turning my hand sideways and letting it run for about 15 seconds:


It does feel greasy when you first put it on your body and start to rub it in. However after rubbing it in for about 30 seconds, it did not feel greasy and there was no lingering feeling of feeling greasy after it was rubbed in.

Of the three products I've tried from this line (the reviews are all going up today), I find this one to have the strongest ginger smell. It isn't a strong smell, don't take that wrong. However, the ginger smell is stronger in this product than it is in the other two.

One thing I like about the ginger is that it cuts the sweet fruity scent of the pomegranate so you don't feel overwhelmed by sweetness. The other great thing is that with all 3 products, there has been no chemical "after-smell" that I experience with so many other products. It truly smells fresh and does not leave a bad afterscent.

Unfortunately, the scent doesn't stay long enough for my personal taste because I like to wear fruity scents during the day. This scent dies away within a few minutes. This is one reason why I will be getting the body oil because I am fairly certain the oil in that will help the smell to last longer.

However, there is an upside to this fact and that is that if you don't want to go around smelling like ginger pomegranate all day long because you have another fragrance you prefer (even a non-fruity one), this will not cause problems with your other fragrances.

So I guess the best way to say this is that the scent starts out strong and then fades down to a light scent - but no matter whether it is strong or light when you smell it, if you like anything fruity or slightly spicy - you'll think this smells good.

I want to deal with two issues here as I talk about the performance of this product.

Scent
As I stated above, the scent does not last. I find myself wanting to reapply this fairly often because I love the scent and want it to be stronger. I am hoping that once I have the scented oil, that will stop, because I know the oil will be a longer-lasting carrier for the scent.

Moisturizing Effects
As a moisturizer, this does a great job. It does not need to be reapplied often unless you are like me and are addicted to the scent.

Since it is more of a medium consistency, you do have to use more of this than you would a product from the Cake line (which has a heavier and thicker consistency). However, the price for this product is so reasonable that I think it still works out to be less expensive than Cake even if you have to buy 2 or 3 bottles to last as long as the larger Cake products. So I don't feel like the quality is bad. The lotion doesn't feel as "luxurious" as the Cake line because it is more of a medium consistency and that is something you might want to consider if you really like or need thick and rich lotions. Although it is dry here in Texas and we have periods of drought, I find I personally prefer lotions that have a medium or light consistency.

The bottle holds 6 ounces of the body lotion.

The product lists that it has pheromones in it. I went to the product's website to read more about pheromones and decided to simply share their link titled "Why Phereomones?". If you are interested in learning more about this, their page is the best page to start reading.

I wanted to try and give you a better description of the fragrance so I did a search for perfumes that have both ginger and pomegranate in them. Three scents came up in my search and they are:

Aziyade by Parfum d'Empire which is made in France. This is/was a unisex perfume.
Flirt by Prescriptives for women.
Free Flowing Man by Puma which was made for men.

Let me close this review by stating how much I love this product. I currently have three products in this line the body scrub, the bath and shower creme and the body lotion. The first two items going into my cart for my purchase this coming week are both the body oil and the body butter. Shock of all shocks, I'd even be willing to pay full price for them, even though I won't have to since Eden currently has a sale going on.
