Pros
Smells good, creates a nice lather, washes clean away with no residue.
Cons
A bit too runny.
I love a good body wash. I have my body puff and I expect a nice lather when I pour on some body wash. I've tried just about every body wash out there (with the exception of the truly expensive stuff) and there are plenty of hits and misses to be found.
I've heard good things about the lubes that System JO produces (though I haven't tried any myself) so I thought I'd see if that quality translated with their body wash. I love citrus scents, so I was happy to see that System JO had a lemon grass balm scent. For those of you not keen on that scent, they also have lavender and peppermint.
The 16 fl oz. comes in a simple plastic bottle with a press-top cap. There is nothing on the bottle to indicate that it comes from a company that specializes in lubes and stimulation gels, so you can leave this in your bathroom and anyone would think it's just another bottle of body wash, which really it is.
The body wash itself is a translucent pale yellow and is thin and runny. The directions recommend that you pour it generously onto your sponge, but I find that you don't need that much to work it up into a real good lather. I suppose it might be a different story if you're using just your hands. The fragrance is indeed lemony cut with the headier grass part. It's strong without being overpowering and it smells delightful when I wash with it. It rinses clean away and leaves no residue. My skin is nice and soft afterward.
If you're the type who likes for the fragrance to remain after rinsing, you'll not want to buy this; there is no lingering scent. While I don't mind when some body wash fragrances linger on my skin, I love that I smell simply clean after using this one.
I've just noticed that it can double as a nourishing shampoo, so I'll have to give it a try and I'll report back in a follow-up review.
I love this body wash and would recommend it to anyone looking for a sensuous, lovely smelling body wash.
