The oil is best used as intended- for massage. Even though the oils it is made up of are natural, I wouldn't want to use it as a lubricant since it is not labeled for such use. Better to be on the safe side with such things!
As a massage oil, it works wonderfully. It is our favorite by far of the five or six we have tried together, and a great value for the many uses the 8 ounce (240 mL) bottle contains.

Ingredients (according to the packaging): Carnation Oil, Almond Oil, I.P.M, Natural Fragrances, Vitamins A & E

These ingredients blended to make quite the quality massage oil. The oil is a clear liquid with a thin, slippery texture. The bottle cap makes it easy to disperse as much or as little as you like. The oil makes it easy for hands to glide over the body without friction, but also without being too slippery.

It did not get sticky or tacky at all, thank goodness, not even when drying.

The product is not intended for tasting/consumption, but it is made up of natural ingredients and didn't bother me when it got on my lips.

The aroma is the best part! I ordered the Tantric Breeze variety, and wasn't sure what to expect. When the oil first goes on, the scent is reminiscent of commercial cleaning products. That fades quickly into a light, exotic smell, like a spicy citrus. The scent lasts while you are using the oil, but it doesn't linger for very long after it has absorbed into the skin. This was a great bonus for us, and for all those with sensitive noses.

The massage oil soaks into the skin beautifully, only leaving a trace of scent and a silky softness. Depending on how much you initially apply, one generous dose could easily last your entire massage. Afterward, your skin will feel great and have a lasting softness thanks to the Vitamin E oil.

This oil is packaged in a plastic black bottle, pretty basic except for the unique shape. The cap does not fit on well, so be careful never to store the bottle on its side. We made the mistake of knocking it over and now the bottle (and our drawer) is coated with a slippery mess.

The top of the bottle is like a Tabasco sauce bottle- it restricts the oil so you shake out drops of it rather than pouring it out. This is great for control, because a little of this oil goes a long way.

The black bottle also has a label with gold script. I think the packaging is definitely gift-giving safe. It would be great combined with a massager or a book about massage techniques.

My husband is very sensitive to scent, so hates to use massage oil or candles that are heavily scented. As it turns out, that is a problem with quite a few that we have tried. This oil had the perfect amount of scent- enough to satisfy me, but not overpowering for him. I loved that it fully absorbed into my skin- who wants to have to hop in the shower after a relaxing bedtime massage?

*Update- last night we used a little more and the massages were shorter. This meant there was some residual oil left on the skin. We just went to bed anyway- no stained sheets in the morning!
