Foams Up to the Occasion
For a girl who has always had to use irritating soaps to wash her toys, this foaming anti-bacterial toy cleaner seems to do a much better job of cleaning any and every type of toy. Those who are sensitive to ingredients found in traditional soaps are bound to see JO's as a worthwhile investment.

Pros
Foaming; practically unscented and unflavored; no glycerins, parabens, or petro-chemicals
Cons
A bit pricey, could be sold in other sizes
JO's Antibacterial Toy Cleaner is fairly basic, in that its main purpose is to sanitize toys after they have been used in a sexual manner. For the longest time I used hand soap and water to clean my toys, but the fragrance, coupled with the spew of unpronounceable chemicals, tended to cause irritation. I decided to try this cleaner because it does not contain glycerins, parabens, or petro-chemicals, meaning there would be much less for my body or anyone else's body to complain about. Best of all, it is water-based, making it compatible with any and all types of toys, including silicone and latex. Even for parts of a toy that are not waterproof, there are instructions on the bottle that direct the user to put some of the foam on a dry cloth and clean the area that way.
The 7 fluid ounces of toy cleaner come in a cylindrical bottle with a pump on top that is protected by a clear cap on top, which makes this particular product ideal for travel. The pump top is designed in such a way to where the almost water-like liquid inside foams when it is dispensed, much like other foaming soaps. One push down on the pump exudes a good amount of cleaner, and it only takes one or two pumps to get enough foam to clean an average-sized dildo or vibrator. The foam consists of very small bubbles, which are more capable of getting into little nooks and crannies than gels or larger bubbles.
There is supposed to be no scent or flavor, although it does have an extremely light scent of rubbing alcohol when it first comes out of the bottle. However, this goes away almost immediately and is all but vanished once the toy has been rinsed or wiped clean. Rubbing the foam causes it to revert back to its liquid form after a little bit; by no means does it go back to liquid instantly.
All in all, this is a good investment for those who want certainty in the sanitation of their toys. It's an even better investment for those like me who are tired of resorting to hand or dish soaps that lead to irritation.

Experience
I tried this product on four different toys: a dual-density silicone, a silicone G-spot vibrator, a glass wand, and a small vibrator that was half plastic and half silicone. For the first three, it was a simple matter of pumping, cleaning, and washing off. For the last toy, since it was not waterproof, I applied a bit of cleaner to the corner of a dry towel and lightly wiped the plastic area, careful to avoid the outlet. Then I soaked another corner of the towel and wiped the suds off. Thus, I was able to clean the entire thing with no worries!
