The lotion is for hands and body. I usually do not use lotion on my overall body, but I did use the EOS lotion on my hands, legs, and elbows. Anyone can use it, as it is hypoallergenic. It has been dermatologist tested, and it is paraben-free, lanolin-free, phthalate-free, and dye-free. And, as an added plus, it is not tested on animals nor does it contain any animal by-products.

The pump bottle gives a generous amount per squirt; the picture below shows only half of a squirt of the lotion. As you can see, the lotion is not runny. I would not classify it as thick, simply for the fact that I equate thick with heavy, and this is not a heavy lotion. It feels light, and leaves my skin silky and smooth to the touch. This is the exact reason why I choose to use this specific lotion after getting out of the shower. The EOS Active Care "Refresh" smells like cool, clean cucumbers and when I put it on after I shower, the scent makes me feel clean and refreshed.





The lotion is not heavy, greasy, or oily, and it rubs in easily. I smell great, even two hours after I apply it. If you choose to use it to help give a massage, then know that you do not have to worry about those gross little clumps of gunky lotion that can appear after a length of rubbing time.

As this is not meant to be edible, I did not attempt to taste it. However, it smells amazing, like clean, cool cucumbers. It is fragrant without being overpowering, and the scent stayed with me after two hours from the first application.

Without washing my hands, the scent stayed on my hands for around two hours. After washing my hands, the scent came right off (obviously). However, that soft, silky feeling stayed on my hands for only about 10-15 minutes, depending on how much I applied. When I say the "soft, silky feeling," I mean the smooth gliding effect of "I-just-put-lotion-on-my-hands." Even though that feeling wears off, my hands still feel moisturized and softer after applying this lotion.

If I could carry this bottle around with me I would; unfortunately, it is much too big. And, while it would fit in my huge purses (my boyfriend calls them my "suitcases"), after putting the bottle in, it would look as if my purse was a bottomless witch's bag or a clown car. While I have never tried the Everyday Hand Lotion EOS offers, I am pretty sure it must be very similar (if not the same) lotion, but in a compact bottle.

The bottle was sent to me wrapped in a small plastic bag. This was not natural packaging; it was wrapped only for shipping purposes.

I love the pump on it because it has a locking mechanism that can be used by turning the nozzle until you feel a slight 'click.' It is really convenient if you are moving (you know it will not spill), or if you have small kids (my 18 month old brother would love to try to eat the lotion).
