I'm here to tell you that people love it for good reason! This thing does the job. It isn't pretty, and you have to plug it into the wall, but damn! This little classic packs a punch.

The material doesn't really offend me in any way, except that the slight texture on the head of the vibe is kind of tough to clean. It is slightly flexible below the business end, but otherwise quite rigid. I don't think that the material is really much of a key player in what makes this toy fun. The Magic Wand is all about vibrating, and vibrating well. I think it had a bit of a smell to it when I bought it, but that went away.

The Magic Wand's form and design have kind of a retro feel, very appliance-y, which I actually like a lot. The high-low-off switch is handy, and I enjoy its large size when I'm masturbating with it. One is a slower, slightly lower-intensity function, which I really enjoy. Then there's the super fast and hard function, which I like to call "hyperspace." It's fun to do the low for a while, then switch it into high gear and really get off. If I'm in a hurry, I'll stick with the high setting, and seriously get off in seconds!

Don't play with the Wand in the shower or bath, it's old-school and will probably electrocute you if you do that. Also, this thing sounds like a small engine, so don't use it when other folks are around, unless you want them to know you're getting your rocks off.

I scrub the vibrating end with a vegetable brush or scrubby sponge, dampen with soapy water, then rinse with a damp clean rag.
