Escape For The Weekend!
While the weekender kit is relatively small in size, I would highly recommend it as a 'starter' for anyone who is contemplating trying some of the Kama Sutra products, or any couple who wants to bring a little something extra into the bedroom.

The kit comes in a very sturdy but elegant looking box. Inside you get six items; a sample size of massage oil (in sweet almond), oil of love (original), love liquid (lubricant), honeysuckle dust, pleasure balm, and a little feather duster. The box also has a small notecard on the inside that welcomes you to include in your sensual side. For anyone who might be scared away by the fear of not knowing how the products actually work, I believe this inclusion is both clever and helpful as it describes the way you are meant to use each product without reading like an mundane instruction manual. I might also add that there are small panels set up to separate each item, preventing them from sliding or moving about. This is great for anyone who plans on bringing this on a long trip because it means you won't have to worry about the containers knocking into each other and possibly breaking.
Now onto the products themselves. The lubricant that comes with the kit is pretty standard. It's water based, keeps everything moist, and it's packaged in a very convenient squeeze tube. To me personally, it has a very slight sugary taste, although the product description claims it is unflavoured, however, it is extremely mild. It's not the best lube you can get on the market, but it does the job without any nasty additives. The only concern potential buyers might want to be aware of is that it contains glycerin.
The massage oil was the next thing I looked at. It comes packaged in a small tube almost identical to the one for the lubricant which I found very convenient. When outside the bottle it has a very intense, sweet almond scent. At first I found this a little off-putting (it smells a bit like shampoo at first) but once it's spread across the skin the intensity fades. I found that it tends to absorb into the skin very quickly and makes it feel incredibly soft after a while, but other than that it doesn't really do anything else. I will grant it that, unlike other massage oils, it does not leave behind a greasy or oily texture on the skin.
The one product I really had an issue with was the pleasure balm. First of all, it is horribly goopy in the little jar it comes in. Secondly, it had a rather unpleasant minty smell that reminded me of spearmint gum. I felt that it cheapened the overall effect of the kit. For those of you who may have sensitive skin, I would advise skipping over this part of the kit. I tried only a little bit of the balm out of curiosity and found that it left a burning sensation rather than the enticing tingle it promised.
The oil of love is a real treat for anyone who's looking to try something new. For those of you who are put off by the thought of bringing oil into the bedroom, you'll be happy to know that this is only an oil by name. It's meant to be massaged into the skin similar to the almond massage oil, but it also has the added effect of warming up when it's blown on. It has a really wonderful scent and a delectable flavour that is enjoyable, but not overwhelming--definitely the highlight of the kit.
Last but not least is the honeysuckle dust and the feather duster that came with it. These products are easily the most playful objects in this little kit. The quality of the duster surprised me at first when I opened the kit. Usually when I get powdery products or anything that requires an applicator, the package usually comes with something that is cheaply made or flimsy. This little duster was neither of those things. It's made from lovely reddish-brown feathers and is ideal for engaging in foreplay or applying the honeysuckle dust. I've always been a huge fan of Kama Sutras edible powders. This one is no different. It has a light sweet taste without leaving behind any sticky residue. It smells wonderful and it's made from natural ingredients like honey, honeysuckle, and corn starch. The only issue I had was the container it came it. I found it very unreliable in keeping the product contained. It leaked and left a powdery residue on the rest of the products on the kit, and whenever I opened it up I found that powder would spill everywhere.
Overall, I think that this is a great product for couples or anyone who is looking to have a little night of romance. It has everything that's needed for an evening of fun and it's much higher quality than some of the other romance kits out on the market these days.
