Lip gloss in general can be used to moisturize the lips and prevent chapping, blistering, and splitting of the lips. It is a great fit for just about anyone- just make sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients. I am not very fond of this gloss, as it does not deliver as I'd hoped, but that does not mean it will not be a good fit for you. Everyone's different. The Shine on Lip gloss is .53 oz or 15 ml and is available in 6 colors: Pink, hot pink, pearl pink, blush, nude, and red. I chose the pink, since I already knew how similar colors looked on my skin. It glides on pretty smooth and makes your lips look wet and sexy...at first. But, after a while, things get a bit sticky.

The Shine On is a somewhat heavy gloss and as I've said before, it gets quite sticky. I mean of course, it won't feel as though your lips are glued, but it does have a very irritating tackiness to it. The gloss does not last very long and after about 45 minutes, I find myself needing to reapply - and this is with balm under it. Without lip balm under this gloss, the gloss would not have made it to the full 45 minutes, as my lips would have been so chapped under it that I would have to apply another soother. It gets quite annoying after a few times of reaching into your purse to apply.

This gloss has no taste, but if you were to test it you would notice a plastic-like feel to it. There is also a very slight, very faint smell to it that is sort of like a sweet nutty smell (maybe even vanilla or almond) with a hint of plastic to it.

This product lasts for about 45 minutes if a lip balm is used before applying the gloss. Should you not use a balm, this product will last you an even shorter amount of time. It gets really sticky and yes, that does annoy the crap out of me. I have a love hate relationship with this gloss. I love the design, the packaging and the curve of the squeeze out applicator bottle, but the gloss itself is just simply lacking!
