Dona, You Scared Me! (Blue Lotus)
Forget the first aroma you smell with the Blue Lotus Dona Body Wash!! That aroma will fade into another, also spooky aroma. Finally, right before the rinse, there it is!! A nice, light, floral with a tiny hint of...sweetness. It smells like Lily of the Valley but sweeter. This is the aroma that is going to linger just for a tiny bit on your skin. Whew!!

Cons
Out of the pump aroma - scared me!!
Dona Body Wash comes in a fairly large bottle (8.5 oz.), with a pump top that also will look nice in your bathroom. It has a lace overlay screened on the waterproof label. I have chosen the Blue Lotus line of products, and after my initial shock with the aroma, am very happy with the products.
The first thing I did after receiving my order was fill the tub up and hop in! I had to twist the pump to make it pop up and become functional. It took a good five or six pumps to get the body wash through the pump tube, but it works very well no. I have had no problems with the pump.
When I bathe, I always use a bath pouf for ultimate lather and cleansing. This works very well with the body wash and gave me a nice, thick, white lather. I used three pumps and this was plenty to cover my whole body with the soapy bubbles. The lather stays nicely in place until you rinse it off.
The texture is creamy, smooth but a bit thin. It has the consistency of dish soap that has a touch of water in it, but as long as you rub it into your pouf, washcloth or skin right away, you should not lose your soap in the bath or shower.
Now for the scary part! As soon as I pumped the body wash onto the pouf, I had a very strong pureed cucumber aroma. Now, I like cucumber, but not as a body aroma. I was a bit worried, but figured I would just jump in and keep going. I lathered my skin up and noticed a white pepper aroma that was overpowering the cucumber smell. In about a minute, I was going to ask my husband for some Ranch Dressing and tomatoes! I do not want to go around smelling like a cucumber salad, however, but really needed to rinse this product off. When I started to rinse, the Lily of the Valley smell emerged, to my great relief! It is a bit sweeter than actual Lily of the Valley, and very subtle and light.
After I was done with my bath, I toweled off and smelled my skin. There was an extremely faint aroma of the floral scent left, which greatly disappointed me. The bathroom, however, had a nice, fresh floral aroma that lasted about 30 minutes. There was no residue left in the tub and my skin felt clean and fresh. I noticed a bit of softness and am very happy with the cleaning properties of the body wash.
I also use this as a hand cleaner in the bathroom, this works very well and I have noticed a slight softening of my hands. I do not recommend this for use on your genitals or face, it has perfume in it and might be irritating to those sensitive areas.
My husband is not afraid to use this body wash, the aroma is so light and fades almost immediately. I use the lotion with this and the aroma lasts a lot longer. Even with two of us using this daily, it will last a significant amount of time. I love this since I do like to save money when I can.

I love the scent, lather and price of the Blue Lotus body wash. I was unsure when I first used it, however when the true aroma came out was overjoyed at the subtleness and lightness of the fragrance.
These are best used as layered products, they compliment each other very well and each product adds its own strength to the aroma and moisturizing.
This is a perfect set for that special woman on your gift list, very pretty and smells great!!

Great review!

I'm glad the scent changed to something you like. I just wrote the DR for Dona's bath salts, and I likewise felt that these products need to be layered to take best advantage of their scents.

Thanks!

The cucumber salad smell is weird, haha. I wonder if any of the other scents have an odd initial smell to them.

My favorite is the acai. Awesome review!
