I love candles, but I was reluctant to buy this candle because of the size and the nearly $10 price tag, when not on sale. But, I won it as part of the twitter giveaways during the 10 year celebrations. When I received it and read the instructions, I realized why it might cost so much. I did not know that the wax can be used as massage oil once you blow out the candle and allow it to cool a bit.

I received the mangosteen scent and this candle has an awesome smell, I love it! The smell is strong and fills the whole room. It is pretty small at only 4oz. (113.4g), but it seems like it will last a long time.

The candle is not in a jar, it is a can type, and I believe it is made of tin. I was surprised that even after burning it for 2+ hours the container still was not hot to the touch, it was very warm at most. But it is always best to be safe and make sure you burn it on a heat resistant surface as it states on the warning.

I personally have not used the wax as a massage oil and probably will not. I think this is great just as a candle to burn to enjoy the smell and I want it to last as long as possible for that purpose. I did, however, feel the wax once melted and the consistency feels as though it will work well as a massage oil. It rubbed into my skin well and left my skin glowing and smelling great.

The labeling states that it is natural, paraban free, cruelty free, and petro. derive. free. The ingredients are: glycine soja wax, hydrogenated vegetable oil, vitis vinifera (grape) oil, laminaria digitata (algae) extract, garcinia mangostana (mangosteen) fruit powder, fragrance.

The instructions are on a sticker stuck to the bottom of the candle. It says to light the candle, and then when ready to use the candle’s sensual oil, extinguish flame and let cool for 30 seconds. Pour oil onto hands and massage into skin. There is also a warning: "For external use only. Do not swallow. Avoid contact with eyes. If any discomfort or irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult your physician. Not for use as a personal lubricant. Do not leave candle burning unattended. Keep out of reach of children, pets, and flammable items. Container may become very hot. Always place on heat resistant surface. Store in a cool dry area."

Unfortunately I just burned the last of this the other day :( so it did not last very long, but it did last longer than I had expected. I will probably purchase other scents, but only when they are on sale since it did not last long, but the smell was oh so good!
