I think the Cupid's Collection by Kama Sutra makes a wonderful gift and is great for couple play. It may be used for light BDSM and there is no preference of gender. I find it a great quality product for the value, though it is a little pricey for me. I really liked the flavor and feel of the dust and it is much cheaper than most of the other kits available.

Pros
Great for date night, makes a good gift, travel friendly, gender friendly, inexpensive.
Cons
Dust can get pretty messy, scent washes off of petals in the tub.
The Cupid's Collection by Kama Sutra is a great beginner's teasing kit. It provides just enough product to set the mood without being overwhelming. The blindfold adds a little excitement as one waits in anticipation. I especially liked the strawberry flavored honey dust and reusable scented rose petals. The little feather teaser is a plus and feels nice on the skin.
The blindfold is made of a polyester type material and feels good on the skin and should fit all head sizes, however, it is not very sturdy. There are visible seams on the blindfold but they are not bothersome and seem to hold together well.
The little pouch that holds the honey dust is made of the same material as the blindfold and may be used to store the rose petals as well. I find the rose petals to be similar to almost any type of faux flowers but slightly scented with strawberries.
The honey dust consists of: Corn Starch Modified, Zea Mays (Corn Starch), Honey, (mel/Miel), Flavor (Aroma), Silica Saccharine, Red 33(CI 17200), Red 40 (CI 16035). It is light, strawberry scented, and tastes very good on the skin. The dust has the same consistency of any ordinary cornstarch or baby powder, meaning it is a little heavy but will pouf if you blow it out of your hand.
I found the feather teaser/duster to be just a regular smaller version of any duster with a little plastic handle for use.
For those of you who have sensitive skin I would recommend washing the blindfold before use and to remember the blindfold and the pouch are made of polyester so I do not suggest use if allergic to polyester.
The scent of the petals is not very strong or overbearing. I really liked the smell of the rose petals although you really cannot smell them unless you are holding them in your hand or literally holding them to you nose and taking a sniff. They sort of remind me of the smell of baby powder (oh so love that smell) with a hint of strawberries.
Even though honey is listed in the ingredients, I could only taste the strawberry. Also noteworthy is the presence of Saccharine or artificial sweeteners, which is great for people who are dieting or are diabetic. On the other hand, saccharine belongs to a group of compounds called sulfonamides which can cause allergic reactions that consist of headaches, difficulty breathing, skin erruptions, and diarrhea. It has also been said to cause irratibiility and muscle dysfuntion in infants so I do not recommend for use on pregnant women or give to infants as candy (but we're not using them on infants are we?).
There is about enough dust for about a weeks worth of play depending on how much you use at a time. It has the same consistency of powder so it wears off and washes off pretty easily. The rose petals worked fine in the tub and did not rip or tear. I find the blindfold to be fairly strong even with it being thin and it may snag a little. The feathers do not fall out of the feather duster even with a little pulling.
Overall, the kit as a whole held up nicely and is a perfect gift to be used on a special night, getaway, or just feeling in the mood.
Cupid's Collection comes in a very pretty red cardboard box. It is not very discreet as it has a clear window on the front of the box. There are no instructions included as it is self explanatory. Upon opening the box, the rose petals, blindfold, teaser, and dust are stored inside of a plastic insert and are removed fairly easy. There is a statement on the back of the box claiming that it is dermatologist tested and is hypoallergenic. Also there is a warning for external use only.
I would not have thought to buy this myself, but I am glad I received this as a gift. I really enjoyed myself with my partner and may even consider buying my next kit. We had so much fun with the blindfold and the dust that we forgot all about the rose petals at first. Can you say do-over please? Thankfully, Valentine's Day is quickly approaching so I'll get the chance to use the rose petals again without having to start over!
Although the honey dust is a powder and washes off easily with just water, I would suggest using both soap and water to totally rid yourself of any scent and visual residue it may leave behind. Please, please use this on completely dry skin as the powder tends to clump on wet or damp skin and is harder to spread over the body. Also, I recommend using this product if you plan to change your sheets soon or you will see a cloud of dust every time you plop onto your bed or shake the sheets.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it4 months after original review
I have about one more good use left of my Cupid's collection product that I plan on using very, and I mean VERY soon. The rose petals, feather teaser/duster, and blindfold are surprisingly still holding up. I would recommend getting this product for those boring rainy nights, when the kids are at grandma's or visiting cousins. Perfect for adding a little extra spice to your sex life!!! Glad I received this as a gift, I love love LOVE springing this out on my partner!!!
