Burning the Midnight Oil
The Tantric candle is a great smelling, all natural massage candle. While there are better massage candles out there, this is a good quality product that enhances massages and leaves the skin feeling soft.

Pros
All natural, smells great, long lasting.
Cons
The oil creates a white coating when rubbed on the skin.
Massage candles have been a favorite of mine for quite some time now. I must admit that I was a little skeptical of the Tantric massage candle at first, but have been pleasantly surprised by it. The Tantric candle is an all natural soy massage candle made by California Exotics. It comes in a black tin with Cal Exotic's logo and “Tantric – Natural Soy Massage Oil Candle” scrolled across the lid. Discretion is definitely not Cal Exotics strong suit, so if you plan on storing the candle with the lid on (which I strongly recommend doing) please note that the word “Tantric” will be prominently displayed.
The Tantric candle, like many other massage candles, comes with a tiny plastic spoon to pour the oil with. While the teeny spoon isn't the fastest way of pouring the oil, it is the cleanest. If you pour the oil directly from the tin, expect a mess. The oil will drip down the sides and solidify after the candle is blown out if you don't clean it off quickly. The vanilla breeze candle smells great, but keep in mind that these candles aren't meant to be edible, so they are not flavored. Since the candle is all natural, it could theoretically be consumed (but only in small amounts!). The oil doesn't have a bad or strong taste, but rather a subtle taste reminiscent to soap.
The Tantric candle is made of the following: soybean oil, coconut oil, hemp seed oil, avocado oil, apricot oil, jojoba oil, vitamin E, and fragrance derived from natural sources. In solid form the wax is a light cream color, which becomes transparent when in liquid form (much like a regular candle). Since the candle is made of a soft soy wax, it melts at a lower temperature than regular wax candles. The bottom label states that the candle has a burn time of 60 hours, although the more oil you use for massages, the less burn time the candle has. I have used the candle for 2 lengthy massages, and would estimate that I could get somewhere between 10 and 15 more massages out of the remaining wax.
The warm oil feels great on the skin, and makes massages much more enjoyable. It cuts down friction and allows hands to glide effortlessly. This candle does feel somewhat oily, and I ended up wiping the excess oil off with a towel after being massaged. The thing that I dislike about this candle is that while rubbing the massage oil on skin, it cools and starts to slightly solidify, leaving white streaks where it has been rubbed. I've experienced this with other massage candles as well, and have found that the more oil that is used, the more likely it is to happen.
Overall, California Exotic's Tantric candle is a good quality product that gets the job done. While there are better massage candles out there, this would be a great choice if you are looking for an all natural, great smelling candle.
