Bondage 101 review
Bondage 101 is an effective way for true beginners to test out the world of bondage without investing in installing a full dungeon in their basement. It covers most of the basics in a mild and non-threatening manner.

Pros
Good introduction to the world of bondage, contains most accessories necessary for play
Cons
Not for those experienced in bondage play, mostly cheap-feeling components
When experimenting with Bondage 101|Bondage 101, I found it very important to remember it is just that—an INTRODUCTION to bondage. There are no extreme suggestions here, just mild introductory games that will give you a taste of what activities are available in the world of bondage|A guide to the world of BDSM. Decide what you like, then take it from there.
The game comes in a sturdy black glossy cardboard box with 36 adventure cards, 2 dice, 1 blindfold, 1 paddle, and 1 scarf (as well as instructions). The components are of varying quality—the blindfold is quite nicely constructed and effective, while the scarf is flimsy and the paddle is very small. The game includes MOST of what you need to play, but on many occasions, other B&D gear is suggested, such as restraints, a necklace, handcuffs, and riding crops. The scarf included can be used as a restraint, but it is quite thin and can only bind one area at a time.
The game is very simple; each adventure card has two numbers on it, and certain cards are designated for him, certain cards for her. Roll the dice and pick the card with the appropriate matching symbols. That is it.
The commands on the cards are fairly mild, ranging from basic role-play to mild spanking and cock-and-ball|Extra sensation play experiences - BDSM Buyer's Guide torment. There are some scenarios involving mild humiliation (HE gets to be the maid!) and your basics such as light domination and the requisite food play.
I want to stress that this game is for the BEGINNER; those who are already experienced in bondage may find most of the cards on the boring side. (“Gee—pretend I am a naughty schoolgirl who needs to be punished? I never thought of that!”) For the beginner, though, this is an excellent way to explore the world of bondage|Bondage & Fetish - BDSM Toys and decide if it is something you want to delve into further.

Follow-up commentary

Despite the somewhat cheap nature of the components, I've found myself recommending this set to friends who think they have no interest in BDSM whatsoever. Most of them are dubious, at the least, but I ask them to at least just try it. I think it is an effective tool for illustrating that BDSM is not or need not be scary or freakish, but can simply be a way of occasionally spicing things up even for those with more "vanilla" tastes.

Considering that you have now recommended this set to others, do you think that it is a little better than you first gave it credit for, or does your mediocre opinion of it still stand? Thanks for the great review, DD, as always.

Thanks, Jimbo. I do still think it's a somewhat mediocre set, but sometimes something low-priced and mediocre is enough for beginners to "test the waters" and get a feel as to whether they might like something or not. I definitely wouldn't recommend this to someone at all experienced in bondage, but if you're someone with no clue where to even begin, this kit is worth the money to give you some starting suggestions.

Definitely agree, even people who "think" they aren't into this type of fun should try this kit.
