Be My Tingly Valentine!!
This is a cute little novelty, and would make a great date-night surprise gift, or just a pick-me-up for a couple looking for some variety, but nothing "too crazy".

Pros
Very cute packaging, inexpensive, vibrating cock ring!
Cons
Tastes a little like a cough drop.
Doc Johnson's My Secret Valentine Tingle Gele' is a "sweet" little novelty item.
The packaging is cute, in a totally innocent "Valentine's Day Candy" way, and promises a "FREE vibrating surprise inside!" The vibrating surprise is a clear jelly vibrating cock ring, battery included. Just flip the switch and GO! It seems to be intended as a semi-disposable toy, but would probably last several play sessions if not stretched too far. Because the ring is jelly, it can't be sterilized, but it can be washed with antibacterial soap and water, or toy cleaner. The soft jelly ring is textured, and the vibrating nub on the outside of the ring is a tiny buzzy bullet. It isn't extremely strong, but it is very buzzy, as opposed to rumbly. There is no mention of "cock ring" on the package, so it is discreet in that sense.
The gele' itself is in a short clear screw-top jar much like hair gel. The texture of the gele' is really VERY MUCH LIKE a lovely strawberry-candy-colored loose hair gel, or maybe un-jelled jell-o. This has a very loose, slick, and slippery texture, and is prone to drip. Use caution around delicate fabrics because it is dark pink and could stain.
Like Jolly Ranchers? Then you'll love the smell of this treat, which smells like strawberry candy. Like slightly menthol cherry cough drops? Then you'll love the taste of it, too! It's sweetened with saccharine, so as a bonus: NO CALORIES!
When placed on mucous membrane skin (think: genitals), the gel produces a cooling sensation, not really 'tingling' as described on the packaging. The feeling is not as strong as, say Ben-Gay or IcyHot, but stronger than a peppermint. This could definitely come in handy during sensation play, especially as a lead-up to stronger sensations. Combine this with ICE for an extra-cool touch! If you are sensitive to menthol-type ingredients, be careful where you put this. Menthol is not in the ingredients list, but the sensation is similar.

Experience
I tested this on my inner arm, and I have fairly sensitive skin. I didn't feel it at all. I also tested it on a nipple and didn't feel it there, UNTIL I TOOK MY CLOTHES OFF about ten minutes later. Once exposed to the air, there was a definite cooling sensation. I tried it on my clit and felt it right away, although I didn't notice any big difference in sensation while masturbating. I also did not notice any staining of my skin, clothes, or sheets.
Follow-up commentary
4 months after original review
This hasn't gotten much use -- it's a little goopy for me, doesn't taste very good, and doesn't provide much tingle.
The jelly vibrating cock ring...still going strong!

Thank you for viewing My Secret Valentine tingle gele review page!
I didn't include the ingredients because they're all listed on the
product info page. Saccharine was the only one of note.
