I am a bit of a bath snob, and while I love things that bubble, foam and fizz, sometimes I am just looking for the clear water and some fragrance. This is where I found that the Dona Arousing Herbal Bath Essence fit in.
The bath essence, is essentially aromatherapy with a bit of moisturizing oils thrown in. It is more meant to work with your mind than it is your body by making your bath relaxing, or in this case arousing experience. You can certainly mix it with the other Dona products, I found that I loved the way my skin felt after soaking a while and then using my Dona body wash on top.
The ingredients are as follows:
Glycerin, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Seed Extract, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Paullina Cupana Seed Extract , Ptychopetalum Olacoides Root Extract , Turnera Diffusa Leaf Extract, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Pausinystalia Yohimbe Bark Extract, PPG-26 Buteth-26, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Garcinia Mangostana (Goji Berry) Fruit, Fragrance
Panax Ginseng Root Extract - improving thinking, concentration, memory and work efficiency, physical stamina, and athletic endurance
Ginkgo Biloba Seed Extrat - enhance memory
Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract - Calming
Ptychopetalum Olacoides Root Extract - aphrodisiac
Turnera Diffusa Leaf Extract - aphrodisiac
Arnica Montana Flower Extract - reduce muscle soreness
Pausinystalia Yohimbe Bark Extract - supports healthy libido
Goji Berry - softening and moisturizing
The Castor oil I assume, gives it the slightly yellow color and acts as an emulsifier to mix all the other oils together. The glycerine is a vegetable based glycerin, but if you are concerned about that, be sure to test it on your skin first before use. The Dona products are Paraben free, which is a big plus.
It is somewhere in the middle when it comes to how thick it is. Somewhere between an oil and bubble bath. When I poured the two recommended cap fulls in, I nearly thought it was because it bubbled up slightly. But they soon disappeared. The scent with two capfulls was nice, just enough that I could easily smell it, but I was a little greedy because I like my smell to be strong and added two more. The scent mixed well with the soap I was using the first time (a handmade pomegranate soap) and the second time with the Dona Acai bodywash. I got out of the tub feeling refreshed and just a little regal. For me, the essence certainly put me into a good head space. It left no scent on my skin--save for something light and clean--nor did it leave behind any residue, which I liked as I stayed and soaked in the tub even after I had washed.
The bottle is very small, weighing less than a pound. It fit easily into my bath caddy (an Eden Fantasy's reuseable bag). I find it, like the other Dona products, to be very discreet with its simple packaging, even if it does say its 'arousing' on the front. However, with it being so small, I feel like I won't get many baths out of it, so that is a small downside for myself.

Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
I am still seriously in love with this product, so much so that I found last night I am almost DONE with my bottle. I have been actually mixing it with some of my other bath products to make some very soft and fragrant baths. I am starting to wish that they made this in a bigger bottle!
This is certainly something I will be reordering.
