The Organic Lip Balm by EOS is exactly what its name says. Though I originally grabbed it for the cute container it far exceeded my expectations. This is a wonderful, non-greasy lip balm in an unconventional container. It works great for men and women as well as children. It's perfect as an everyday lip balm.

I tend to be very picky about lip balms and have a very hard time finding any that I can use comfortably. They are almost always too greasy or too waxy but never in the middle where I need them to be. Then I tried the Organic Lip Balm by EOS. It's perfect! It goes on very easily and doesn't leave any greasiness behind. It also coats your lips very well without feeling like you have encased your lips in wax. It is extremely smooth and doesn't wipe away as soon as you apply it.

I got the Summer Fruit flavor and was a little worried that it would be over the top fruity. But I was surprised by the subtlety of the fruity flavor. I can smell a fruitiness when I smell the lip balm itself but it's not overpowering. Once applied I can taste a very subtle and mild fruitiness but I don't smell it. Which means I'm not walking around smelling like a fruit salad.

When you open the top of the Organic Lip Balm you see what looks like a very hard dome of balm. I was worried it would be difficult to apply but was surprised and happy to discover it glided on smoothly, and oh so easily. It was still firm enough that even with pressure applied during application it did not mash up the the half sphere shape of the balm. The taste of the balm only lasted about 30-45 minutes, however that was okay for me as I don't want to taste fruit on my lips for the rest of the day. The balm itself lasted several hours before I needed to reapply.

The Organic Lip Balm by EOS does not come in a box. The sphere container is its packaging. It is such a cute change to the typical tube of lip balm everyone has. The shape of the container is both a pro and a con. The shape definitely makes it easy to tell what you're grabbing in your purse. However at the same time, the small ball shape makes it hard to find in the bottom of a large purse and a little awkward to have in your pocket.

I didn't have much hope in the lip balm before I tried it. I love the lightness of the scent and the lightness of the taste. Usually my husband hates when I try to kiss him after applying any lip balm as it's too waxy, too greasy or the taste is too strong. I am able to always have this applied and he notices my lips are smooth but can't tell that I have it on because it feels so natural.
