Awesomeness in a Jar!
I wish this candle was edible. It was worth the money for us! It is great for sensual massage foreplay. I would buy this candle again - probably in a different scent though. If you love gardenia, this is the candle for you!

Pros
Heats up fast, pour spout, could re-use jar for something else after candle is gone.
Cons
Gardenia smell was a bit intense, didn't smell much truffle.
Compared to other massage candles I've tried, this one is by far my favorite. I smelled more gardenia than truffle. Compared to my other candles, it was ready to use in less time. This candle did not get "gummy" or turn overly waxy once poured. We really enjoyed that it staying the consistency of massage oil after we poured it. The great quality wax means you use less each session. It took less time for this candle to heat up and reach a pouring consistency - only 5-10 minutes.
This candle did not stain our sheets or leave an oily residue. The gardenia smell did stay on our sheets for a while though. It does a great job moisturizing the skin as well. I was worried that, living in the South and ordering it in the late spring, I would receive a melted candle on my doorstep. This did not happen. There is a handy dandy pour spout on one corner of the jar. This is a big perk! This allows you to control the flow and direction/location of the poured wax, and it reduces the risk of over-pouring. It is a nice jar, and I will probably up-cycle or re-use it once we've used the rest of the candle.
We did use a bit too much the first time. A little goes a long way, so for the price you pay, you'll get the mileage out of it. I haven't tried any of the other scents of this line, however, I would try them because the quality of the candle is worth the price. I wish they had more aromas/flavors to choose from. When we ordered, there was only one in stock to choose from. Hopefully there will be other choices later on, but overall we are highly satisfied with this product.

Experience
The wax didn't get "gummy" like other candles. Once poured it stayed smooth and the consistency that massage oil should be. We didn't have to apply more after 20 minutes either, like we did with our previous massage candles.

Thank you for viewing Afterglow special edition – body massage candle discontinued review page!
I did have some followup questions though, such as what was the actual burn time for the candle? What was it made of and was the aroma strong? You mention it smelled more like the gardenia than truffle, was it just a floral smell or was it distinguishable as gardenia? Also, I am prone to migraines, so was this something that someone who is sensitive to smells should avoid, or was it light enough that it shouldn't cause any problems? And also what were the ingredients? Were there any allergy concerns or anything that those with sensitivities should worry about?
