Pros
Performance, texture, longevity, and moisture.
Cons
Price.
Before purchasing EoS Boost, I was an avid fan of EoS Active Care (the green one). I decided to switch to this one due to the fact I was tired of the scent.
First off, this stuff is AMAZING compared to Active when it comes to moisture. It's made of the same ingredients, but with a bit more oomph when it comes to the shea butter.
Another reason why I stopped using Active, is because it left my skin feeling like it needed more at the end of the day. I don't have chronic dry skin, but it's dry. Active left me with needing more. That is NOT the case with Boost.
The scent smells like vanilla and sugar, maybe a bit of cocoa? All I know is I smell like a bakery when I use this stuff. It's not strong, not over-powering. I usually can't handle strong scents, and this is light, but noticeable, without leaving me with a headache.
Putting it on dry skin isn't something I care for doing. There's so much moisture in this stuff, if my skin is already dry, it can't absorb the barrage of butters and oils that are being slathered on. I've chosen to use this stuff as a "out of the shower" moisturizer. It goes on smooth, soaks right up, and leaves my skin feeling amazing.
After my morning shower routine, I lotion myself up, and go on with my day. One thing that really showed how well Boost by EoS performed, was how well it kept my skin happy.
One use of this lotion out-of-the-shower, and my skin will survive happily until my next shower. I don't need to reapply it, my skin stays soft until the moisture in my skin is washed away. (I do need to reapply it every 3-5 hand washes)
Now as I said in my Active Care review, the lotion calmed my KP. It didn't get rid of it, but it didn't feel like I had a tiny cheese grater on my upper arms. This still works for Boost, my arms are as smooth as a baby's rear end. The hair on my legs also has softened up. I make sure I use Boost on my legs when I'm done shaving, and I no longer feel like I have sand paper legs the next day.
The one thing that EoS does to really grab my attention, is how the lotion feels on my skin. I despise anything that leaves me feeling greasy or waxy. I like my skin to breathe, and to feel as natural as ever with lotion on. EoS let's me have that. Once I'm done with my shower routine, I don't feel like I've been stuck inside of a ziplock bag. My skin is soft, smooth, and happy.
Another thing about Boost, is the fact that it doesn't bother sensitive spots on my body. My forearms and rear are usually very finicky about lotion, and I break out into this itchy rash whenever I use something on those areas. So far, EoS' Boost hasn't caused me any problems in those areas.
Now, for the texture of the lotion; Right out of the bottle it seems almost watery. It's very light, but not like someone took some cream and mixed it with water. It has a different texture than what I'm used to seeing with most lotions.
The bottle is no different from most EoS lotion bottles. It has a flat, oblong-like pump cap, and you can turn it to lock or unlock it, though to me this feature is useless. Turning to the left locks it, and to the right unlocks it, but it takes very little force to do this, so if the bottle were to fall on the ground, it could easily unlock. It's made of a smooth, white, translucent plastic, and allows you to "kind of" see how much lotion you have left. When the lotion gets very low, sometimes it's hard to get the rest of it out of the bottle with the pump. The cap is removable, and due to the viscosity of the liquid, it's very easy to get the rest out. Usually the pump gets a lot of it though.
The price isn't something I much care for. Now, Boost is the most expensive lotion by EoS (if you were to buy it from your local drugstore), and the reason is because of the higher moisture content, and better performance. Now, I'm sure there are other lotions for much cheaper people would prefer, but if you're looking to reduce all those mysterious chemicals you're forcing onto your body, consider EoS! And if you're looking for rich moisture without being coated in film, again, consider EoS!

Experience
I just wanted to clarify that my skin is finicky about the lotions I use. It's naturally very thick, and because of that, I have a hard time absorbing lotions. This is another reason why I apply my lotion when I get out of the shower, or after I finish washing my hands.
I've spent a lot of money on a lot of lotions. It ranges from St. Ives, to Dove, and the list goes on. EoS is the only one my skin loves, and I love the ingredients.
I've been using Boost for over a month now, and the only thing I can't say I love about it is the scent. It's definitely not strong, but smelling like a bakery gives me hunger-pangs for a chocolate chip cookie. It's just not "my" type of scent.
I cannot say this is a lotion for people with sensitive skin. Due to the fact it has fragrance alone may put some people off, but if you're looking to cut out parabens and 90% of the "crap" that's put into most lotions today, you may want to give EoS a shot.
If you're not looking to buy a whole bottle of it, you can get Active and Refresh(I think that's the name) in little purse-sized containers for travel. They're cheap, and sold at every single drugstore and super market I've seen. Those can give you an idea of how EoS's line of lotions perform, and if your sensitive skin will actually enjoy them. Be aware that Boost does not come in travel sizes.

Thank you for viewing Complete care hand and body lotion – body moisturizer discontinued review page!
Your review is a great example of being extremely useful without having to list all the ingredients and other minutia from the product page. That is part of why I actually enjoyed reading it, lol! I love your telling us so much detail about your experience with it. I hate that ziplock bag feeling you described and found it very helpful that you mentioned a way to work with this lotion successfully, thanks!
