All pain, no gain

I can see how the System JO G-Spot Tingling Gel Mild could work for some women. Unfortunately, I was not one of them. Its packaging is classy, and even though it is supposedly "made for women by women," the menthol in the gel gave me a very unpleasant sensation that I would definitely not want to try again.

Use

The aim of the JO G-Spot Tingling Gel Mild is to help with arousal and stimulation of the G-spot. This product would be great during solo play or for use with a partner. I would imagine if a couple were to use it, it'd be pleasurable for both partners.

Some people have found that they are sensitive to menthol being an active ingredient in cooling/tingling lubes and wind up with a burning or itching sensation rather than a pleasant tingle effect. This was my first experience with a product of this nature, and unfortunately, I have found that I am one of those people. In addition to menthol, the arousal gel lists the following ingredients: cyclopentasiloxane, cyclotetrasiloxane, dimethiconol and dimethicone. These are all silicone compounds and emulsifiers.

Seeing that this arousal gel is silicone based, do not use this with silicone toys. In addition to not using this product with silicone toys, I recommend that it also be stored away from silicone toys because the cap is pretty flimsy and could come loose or leak.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The consistency of this tingling gel reminds me more of oil than a gel, in that it's very greasy and drippy. It feels silky on my skin, but I've learned that you've got to move fast because once the gel hits your body heat, it starts running like water. It started dripping before I could even snap this photo.

This product also leaves an unpleasant greasy residue that ended up getting all over everything I touched. I tried wiping it off my hands with a towel and they were still greasy. Soap and water finally did the trick.

Since it comes in a small squeeze tube, it is very easy to pour. It is also very easy to pour too much.

Taste / Aroma

This product is not intended for consumption, but I did try a bit on the tip of my finger and it tasted of slight menthol. The flavor was so minimal that it is impossible to compare it to any other minty tastes. If this was applied directly to the G-spot, I don't see any kind of oral sex being a problem.

It also had a faint menthol scent. Nothing noticeable unless it's right under your nose.

Both the taste and aroma were so light that nothing lingered after washing.

Performance

I put a few drops of this gel on my middle and index fingers to massage onto my G-spot. I had to do it quick like a bunny because this lube does not want to stay in one place for too long. I found my G-spot and massaged the gel onto it (which was the best part of this whole experience, I might add) and waited to feel anything. Five minutes... nothing. Ten minutes... nothing. So, I grabbed a toy (TPR material) to see if that'd help me get any sensation. Alas, this gel did nothing for my G-spot.

I thought, "Well, if I can use this internally, why not on my clit?" So, that's the next place I applied it. I timed how long it would take to work and after 7 minutes, I was on fire, and not in a good way. There was some relief by massaging the area, which I did for a few minutes. It was a stinging and burning sensation I couldn't bear any longer before I had to go wash it off. Even after washing the area with soap and water, the feeling still lingered but soon tapered off.

The G-Spot Tingling Gel is, in fact, meant for the G-spot. Unless I am just menthol-sensitive. I don't know and at this point, I'm not too keen on the idea of doing more trial and error.

Tingling gels don't do it for me either. A friend gave me some to try a few months ago and my experience was similar to yours. Cute nails!
