Accio Orgasm: My Hitachi Magic Wand Review
I focus a lot more on clitoral stimulation than I do vaginal when playing solo, so this is hands-down my favorite for that purpose. It's not as pretty, sleepy, or visually appealing as some, but at the end of the day, what I want is something that gets my rocks off, and this one causes an avalanche.

I've had my Hitachi magic wand vibrator for over a year now, and it's my go-to toy. It does what I need it to either quickly and efficiently, or I can choose to draw it out. My personal problem with a lot of battery-operated vibrators is that they just take entirely too long to build up. The Hitachi Magic Wand has the strongest vibration of any vibrator that I've personally tried. It's the sort of thing that, upon trying it for the first time, made me think to myself 'oh, THIS is what I was missing.' If I had to be stuck on a deserted island with only one vibrator for the rest of my life, it would be this one.
However, there's no deserted island, and I can keep all my other goodies which is nice because there are a few drawbacks. This sucker is loud. It's the audible equivalent of a neon sign declaring someone, somewhere within the vicinity, is getting off. I'm in a roommate situation, so I only use it when no one is home and cross my fingers that the people in the apartment I share a wall with have the TV on.
It's also not that portable or travel friendly. It's big! It's big, it's bulky, and it has a power cord. It is in no way intended to be used internally, and it is not remotely water-friendly. Cleaning is a wipe up of the head part for me (which is firm, but not hard, plastic with a slight give of sponginess to it) with a sanitizing wipe for me, but I try to keep the process as neat as possible because I wouldn't want to have to try and deep clean this thing. I can imagine using it in conjunction with lube might make for a much longer cleaning process.
It has a one year warranty from the manufacturer. The very first one I got was faulty (stopped working after a couple of weeks), and I exchanged it with a flawless interaction. Considering that this isn't something you get with spare change (at least not for me - I'm on a budget so if I fork over $50 for a vibrator, I want a guarantee that it won't wear out after a few uses), I consider that a huge plus.
And hey - it's great on sore muscles, too!

Follow-up commentary
65 months after original review
I'm incredibly sad to report that after almost seven loving, extremely satisfied years together my Hitachi Magic Wand has passed to the other side - not with a whimper but with a spark and the faint scent of burnt rubber. The tragedy occurred moments after our final, memorable union. Please, don't send cards or flowers; if so obliged, donate to your favorite charity. I'll handle my grief on my own, namely by respecting a brief period of mourning before replacing my former love with a literally identical copy - hopefully sans fire hazard.
(On a series note: I'm so relieved that it chose to spark and die two minutes after I had it near the nether bits, and while I'd have preferred it to have met a less dramatic end I can't complain about almost seven years of usage. This is hands down worth the money and I'm going to repurchase immediately.

Thank you for viewing Magic Wand Original – massager review page!
How big is it actually? Is it very heavy?
Is the head-part too big for pinpoint stimulation?
How long is the power cord, you mentioned it was too short..?
You said you use a wipe to clean it, but if I don't have wipes, how can I accomplish this?
How do I use it-- is there a twist, or push-button? Is it easy to use, or will it switch in the middle of a session?
Just a few questions. Have you thought of the mentor program? It's really helpful for writing reviews!
