This bath sponge is intended to give your shower or bath a whole new element of fun, but instead you will find a new element of disappointment. Truly, the best use for this is to just be a sponge and nothing more. Its intentions are good for anyone who likes to play in the water, but you may find yourself beached on this one.

It is a plush sponge with a lot of material, which is made of plastic; however, it feels a bit scratchy. It does also have a braided loop to hang it to dry.

When I first removed it from its cardboard box, there was a bit of packaging smell to the sponge. It did go away after the first use. It has not retained any smells since.

I was very disappointed with my sponge. My husband and I used it once in the tub and again in the shower and it broke. It did not have very powerful vibrations (had to move the sponge material aside and have the bullet applied directly to feel anything worth feeling) and the bullet was difficult to access. Once I got the bullet back into the sleeve, I had difficulty getting it to turn on/off. The button was not very well made. The amount of material in the sponge is plentiful and we did have to make sure it was well rinsed. This feature did have a set back- the sponge did not dry very easily. One would think that a bath sponge with a bullet would be water proof; this one is not!

When I received my sponge, it came in a flimsy cardboard box. Inside the box, there was a paper pamphlet with other products advertised on it that were made by the same company. There were instructions on the box, but nothing in very much detail, just the basics. Would this sponge be suitable for travel? I would say both yes and no. If you look at the sponge from its "front and back," you would not think anything of it. It is a different story if you look at it from the sides, being that the bullet is visible and you can tell what the secret of the sponge is.

With my first experience with the sponge, we had to remove the bullet and open it up to "flip" the batteries. They were inserted in the wrong direction (maybe to prevent them from draining during shipping). It was difficult to get the bullet back into the sleeve because of the amount of material in the sponge itself. Once it was in it was also difficult to get it to turn on initially.

While using it we found it was more enjoyable to push the material to the sides so we had more access to the direct sensations of the bullet. It was not strong enough to vibrate through the material on its own and provide pleasure.

During its second use I encountered the same problem, again. When I went to use it a 3rd time, I had found that the bullet was not working and upon further inspection found that water had leaked into it and everything rusted.

The case of the bullet is kept "waterproof" by one rubber o ring and it is actually on the outside of the bullet. The case of the bullet also never seemed to close tight; it would just keep on going around and then it would sort of "pop" and you could re-tighten it again. I will not waste my money again.
