A surprisingly sweet treat!
The ImPulse by Kama Sutra definitely brings something new to the world of arousal gels. It may not offer the most intense vibration, but it makes the entire application process more fun. When has a little extra vibration ever been a problem? The discreet and sleek design also makes it easy to travel with and is a fun, little addition to anyone's box of toys!

Pros
Vibration, easy application, discreet
Cons
Battery cannot be changed, not refillable, weak vibration
The ImPulse by Kama Sutra is an arousal gel with a fun, little twist: it vibrates!
The container is slender and only a few inches long. On the base of the applicator is a button which turns on the vibration. Unlike an actual toy, you cannot change the batteries in the applicator and once it runs out of power, you just have to toss it. The ImPulse contains .15 fl. oz. which actually lasts longer than you might imagine.
With the ImPulse, you also only get one vibration setting, which is pretty weak compared to actual vibrating toys. If you're looking for something with a lot of vibrating power, this won't do it for you. If you're looking for a fun, new way to use and apply an arousal gel, you should certainly give this one a shot. The herbal formula may even be enhanced by the vibration! It may not be an earth shattering experience, but it definitely adds a little something to the application process and even makes for some pretty fun foreplay. The ImPulse is not a very quiet toy though, so you'll want to use it behind a closed door.
The roll on applicator itself is a little reminiscent of a lip gloss applicator, but it works just fine in dispensing the gel directly onto your body. The instructions to suggest that you wipe down the applicator after use to keep it clean. This toy should also not be shared, as it cannot be sanitized. Also, the applicator itself should also never be inserted into the body. It isn't made for insertion and it isn't waterproof. The ingredient list of this product should also be examined before use, as some of the ingredients may not be safe for those with sensitive skin or allergies.
This product contains: Water (Aquq/Eau), Propylene Glycol, Polysorbate 80, Glycerin, Arfinine, Flavor (Aroma), Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Methylparaben, Hydroxyethlycellulose, Menthol, Sodium Saccharin, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Dioscorea Villosa (Wild Yam) Root Extract, Serenoa Serrulata Fruit Extract, Turnera Diffusa Leaf Extract, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Angelica Polymorpha Sinesis Root Extract, Cimicifuga Racemosa Root Extract, Ornithine
Because the ImPulse contains Menthol, it does have a minty scent. It sort of smells like a breath mint and can leave behind a slight minty taste as well. The ImPulse also contains Glycerin, which should always be avoided by people who are prone to Urinary Tract Infections or yeast infections as it can exacerbate the problem. Also, because this product is water based, it is not really going to work well in the shower.
The ImPulse comes with a cute, little drawstring pouch for storage.

Experience
I absolutely loved this product, but my partner was not as pleased. She did not like the tingling sensation and said it mostly just made her uncomfortable. I really enjoyed the slightly cool tingling and, while I don't use it every time, love this product when I want a little extra something involved in our foreplay. The vibration isn't nearly enough to 'finish the job', but it does make the application process a little bit sexier.
Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
I still love this toy, though the novelty of it has worn off a bit. I don't use it quite as much as I did in the beginning, but its a fun little accessory when things still need a little extra spice!
