A Concoction of Some Surprising Stuff
Test out your love for bubble baths with the Chemistry Bubble Bath set. This is an excellent variety pack for those who love taking relaxing bubble baths. With four scents to choose from, the chemistry is all yours. While I found some of the scents did not match their descriptions, others were still good.
Published:
Pros
Feminine, Neat stand and set-up, Good variety of floral and fruity scents
Cons
Tubes can be larger, Some scents are off the mark, Need a large amount for getting some good bubbles
While this won’t turn your bathroom into a laboratory, this test tube style bubble bath set will appeal to your geeky friends, or those in the sciences. Anyone who likes taking bubble baths will love this set though. It would make for a great gift, be it for a spouce, family member, bridal shower, or whom ever else you thinks deserves a thoughtful present.
Ingredients: Water, Cocamide DEA, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium, Chloride, Cocamidopropyl Bentaine, Citric Acid, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Parfums (Peppermint, Lavender, Lemon, Rose, Pomegranate). If you are sensitive to fragrences, then you might want to avoid getting this set.
1. Seduction (Rose):
“Tones your skin and offers it a seductive glow.” I wasn’t radiating after I used it, but it sure made my skin feel and smell nice. The rose scent is sweet, and it is one of the strongest scents in the set, but it didn’t bother me at all. It seems to be a scent you’ll either love or hate.
2. Alluring (Lavender):
“Disarming and enticing...a great aphrodisiac.” Alluring is a great name for this scent. I love lavender, and the company definitely got it right with this scent. It’s also quite strong, so you’ll either love it or hate it. I really wish I could get a large bottle of this one.
3. Vitality (Lemon/Mint):
“Invigorating and energizing. You'll be up all night.” Yeah, up all night gagging. It smells a lot like cheep all purpose cleaner which was not pleasant at all. I’m not the only one to complain about this, but if it was more minty, then I think a lot more people would like it. Needless to say, I really didn’t enjoy bathing with this one, but at least my bathroom smelled clean.
4. Sensual (Pomegranate):
“Subtle, light, sheer...and quite seductive.” No seductive powers here my friend, it just smelled exactly like most shampoos. Not a bad smell for a bath setting, but it was nothing like pomegranate. The smell is very light and refreshing, so I think a lot of people will appreciate this one.
The scents didn’t linger on my skin as well as other products have, but they lingered in the bathroom much better. Given that each of the bottles already contains a good amount of scent, you don’t need to mix and match, using multiple scents for a single bath.
They made my skin feel soft and moisturized, accept the pomegranate which dried me up for some reason. I think the bottles should be a bit larger because each tube only contains 1.5 oz. of liquid, and you need quite amount to get some adequate bubbles.
To get the amount of bubbles I like, I had to use half the tube, so I only got two uses out of each bottle. The bubble bath is very thick, so it pours out slowly. I find lightly shaking the bottle upside down over my other hand works best for getting a nice handful of the stuff. You can’t squeeze the bottles, but this makes them very sturdy. They will last a long time, and you can refill the tubes with more bubble bath, or whatever else you can find uses for.
The set came packaged in thin plastic wrapping with labels telling you what the product is, and the ingredients. Each of the tubes has a little label for the scent and description. I keep the viles in the stand, but I find they tend to rattle around a bit. You can either keep them all in the stand, or individually stand them up on their caps. It’s a really cute set and I think it will appeal to a lot of people.

Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
I used these up rather quickly and I gave the tubes to my Mom because she likes little things like that. I don't regret my purchase but I don't think I'd get it again unless it is for a gift.
