Pros
You get a lot for a low price, the cute package makes it easy to give as a gift.
Cons
They don't taste like anything but liquid sweetener and don't condition at all.
The 12 Days of Christmas lip set is a great bargain, but I wouldn't waste my money. When I first received this, I thought there were really only 6 different lip products, but 2 of each. So when I got to playing with it, I was excited to learn that there are in fact 12 different products. The gift set comes in a cute little poly-clear zip pouch, with a description sheet in the back containing a little info on each of the 12 glosses/scrubs. I don’t sugarcoat my reviews, so I want to put it right out there, some of these are hit or miss.
I really enjoyed the scrubs, they are a brown sugar based scrub that tastes pretty darn good. It's easy to use and you can just lick your lips to remove the left over sugar residue. I also liked the mint glosses. I don’t feel the breath mint one really works any magic for your breath, but hey it’s a fun idea. Right?
The ones that just really didn't work well for me are the conditioners and the shiny/super shiny glosses. I think the main reason the conditioners did not work was that it wasn't a heavy/buttery enough product to stay on the lips. Sweetening lip balms cause the user to lick their lips more and thus remove the product. I also didn't like the shiny or matte ones for this reason.
Even though the little pots of gloss don’t last long on your lips, they are yummy. They have a sweet taste, but they don't really remind me of any type of fruit. It really just tastes like that liquid sweetener you get from the store. I think if these had more cocoa or shea butter to them and maybe even some different flavor oils they would be a lot better.
