Yes with a capital "Why?"
All in all, I'd recommend this book for someone who's just edging into erotica and who isn't particularly wild with fetishes. Someone who's into traditional male-on-female domination will thoroughly enjoy this book, but if you're looking for a wide range of fetishes you should look elsewhere. Good 'fap' material, not the best for the educated and experienced reader.
Published:
Pros
well written and sexy.
Cons
not particularly original, narrow range of fetish material.
Although I'm a massive fan of erotica of all types, I honestly just couldn't find the motivation to really get to work on reading this. Maybe I'm just jaded, but I've read a lot of male dom porn stories in my day, and there isn't a lot bound in this book that I couldn't find described far better for free on the internet.
I've had it laying around for ages, and as I said, it literally felt like WORK to sit down and read these stories. They weren't BAD of course; the stories were completely hot and well written. However, the subject material was that of a thousand other stories; you can only write a story about a man dominating a girl so many times before it gets a little overwhelmingly boring. Another aspect of the stories that took a little bit of the 'magic' away for me is knowing that all these authors are not necessarily submissive women in and of themselves; fiction loses much of its charm when plainly presented as such, especially in the erotica industry where experience is vital to a good, well-written story.
I spotted a few holes in the stories where honestly, NO master would behave this way. There were fewer parts where the girls' actions were unrealistic, but don't get me wrong; they were there too. There weren't a lot of truly sweet D/s relationship moments either, which makes a lot of the BDSM stuff worth it to me past the sexualized whips-and-chains aspects.
Overall, I found myself disappointed and a bit bored with the stories overall, and the book seemed to drag on for me. I was much more enthralled by the "Please, Sir" and "Please, Ma'am" books; the subject material was a bit more exotic and the stories seemed more real. However, this was a decent read and I'd certainly recommend it for a beginner in the world of erotica, especially someone who's an avid fan of male-dominated D/s relationships.
I simply suggest the reader be prepared to be unsurprised.
