Typical Myths
Sometimes you get the opportunity to see a movie that changes your perception of a genre, Love and Marriage is one such movie.
A good porn with great plot, beautiful actors who can really ACT, and hot sex this movie has it all. While it is a vanilla movie with little to no kink it is still worth viewing, if only to get a look at the lovely Kayden Kross!

Ok, so anyone who has been married for a while knows there are times you feel unfulfilled, restless and like something is missing from your relationship. If you have a wonderful partner you might feel as though you are losing your mind! Maybe, you have the where-with-all to might seek some sort of professional help. You might also seek some less than professional help in the form of exciting sexual encounters. If you do, then apparently, you have the plot of a porn movie. Or maybe this was a situation of a movie who's time had simply come.
Kayden, played by the very lovely Kayden Kross, is feeling trapped, bewildered and out of sorts in her marriage to an amazing guy. She seems to have it all; looks, money and a dream marriage! She seeks some help from a therapist, played by Manuel Ferrara, who is considerate and a good listener.
Cut to Kayden's husband, played by Scott nails, who is celebrating his birthday with a special gift from his 'bro' Sean, (Mick Blue). Sean has procured a lovely half dressed Jessie Andrews to play with both of them in a fairly mainstream straight sex threesome. There is lots of oral sex, both guys take turns and in the end Scott provides the facial 'money shot.'
We return to our lovely heroine, Kayden, at home where she is getting ready for a party. Scott arrives home and she reminds him that he needs to get ready for the party and the two start to argue. Pretty typical for us married folk, sometimes you really aren't even sure where the conversation got heated! Thankfully before things get really bad the camera fades.
We rejoin our movie at the party where we meet the stereotypically 'perfect couple' Sandra (Lisa Ann) and her husband (Tommy Gunn). I guess he's not real important since I don't remember ever hearing if he had a name! They are all eyes for each other and when they decide to retrieve a pie from the kitchen sparks FLY. They have to sample the whip cream which leads to some oral sex, then some PIV sex and a facial! You know, the usual things that happen when you have guests in the living room and a pie in the kitchen...still it IS a porn movie so lets suspend reality and assume that Kayden and Scott are too preoccupied being miserable to notice their hosts whoopin' it up in the kitchen.
Kayden returns to the therapists office who does his best to reassure her that she is perfectly normal but she is more interested in kissing him.
Abruptly the scene cuts to Kayden questioning Scott about his opinion of their marriage and whether he still loves her. They have pretty normal married sex featuring oral and vaginal sex. It doesn't seem fake or forced but apparently it isn't satisfying for our lovely leading lady as she explains to her therapist in the next scene. Kayden admits she can't keep her mind off kissing Manuel, her therapist. For his part he tells her to work on saving her marriage.
Meanwhile, Scott continues his merry conquest of his entire office by asking his receptionist (Jessie Andrews) to bring in the 'new girl' (Breanne Benson). The three begin a pretty wild threesome and who should walk in but Mrs. Scott! Kayden is, understandably, NOT amused and in the next scene demands a divorce. Scott asks her to reconsider but she is adamant and walks out, straight to her therapists office. She talks him into a tryst and he eventually agrees...remember this IS a porn movie! After a lovely round of oral and straight vaginal sex he finishes with the usual facial shot and the movie ends.
This DVD set featured a DVD plus Blu-Ray disc set shot in HD 16x9 Widescreen format. The set also included a slide show gallery, a motion chapter index, a behind the scenes feature, and a special bonus trailer.
Experience
I would have liked some closure on the plot but it wasn't a bad try at a good movie with some great vanilla sex. On the whole the camera work was well above the usual fare and bordered on amazing. The positions seemed much more natural and less contrived and the actors were superbe.
The music score was well written and unobtrusive, in some scenes it was truly lovely and sets the scene beautifully.
As a former theater major, I tend to be critical about acting in a movie but I have to say I was impressed by the quality of the acting in this porn. I never watch a porn movie for the acting but this one captured me quickly and allowed me to forgive the choppy plot progression, unbelievable pie scene, and the few tiny cutting room mistakes.
Kayden Kross has amazing talent and the rest of the cast seemed to 'fit', elevating this movie out of the usual sex film category, at least for me.

Follow-up commentary
10 months after original review
The quality of the DVD is great and even though it has been sitting for quite a while I haven't noticed any scratches. It loads properly and runs smoothly. I don't particularly care for the story line given that I have experienced the pain of infidelity first hand. Still the sex scenes are ok and the acting isn't terribly bad. I haven't found anone who actually wants to see the movie but all in all it is holding up just as I would expect a Digital Playground DVD to run.
