Myself, I am one of those straight girls. I'm married in fact, and never have been with another woman. I hadn’t even thought about it until just recently and now find myself VERY curious about what it would be like to fuck a chick. So, I was intrigued when I ran across this book. I mean, what better way to learn how to go about finding chicks like me, as well as how to actually have sex with them?

I wasn’t disappointed. “The Straight Girl’s Guide to Sleeping with Chicks” is really a very thorough, well-written, and quite humorous guide to all aspects of girl-on-girl sex. Packed full of advice, tips, and information, this book is a great resource for ANY girl who has either thought about, already tried, or regularly fucks other girls.

Blurbs from actual women who have hooked up with other women are littered throughout the book, along with drawings to help illustrate the author’s points. Even Barbie doll pictures were cleverly used to demonstrate sexual positions, giving the book even more humor. Also, there was plenty of new vocabulary and slang I hadn’t heard before, making the book feel very young and hip.

It is written in a very sex-positive way as the author makes a natural progression through the book, from how our bodies work and get pleasure, to how to pleasure her – in so many ways! She covers lubrications, fingering techniques, humping positions, toys and how to use and enjoy them, threesomes, and the many-times overlooked, same-sex, safe-sex issues. Even pussy eating gets its very own, well-deserved chapter, giving us newbies some great pointers on how to do go down on her and do it well.

As far as the author's reference to the use of alcohol while making it with girls: while I don't condone this particular practice, I certainly understand the use of it to calm a bi-curious girl's nerves. The lack of experience and doing something so different (something that many still consider "taboo") could cause many of us to chicken out of the process and go home alone! I know that when I get the opportunity to finally satisfy my bi-curiosity, it will be with several drinks in me first, simply to loosen me up! So, I don't think the author missed on this particular suggestion.
