The Sexually Dominant Woman review
A beginner’s guide for the sadistically curious on female domination. For the most part the book had little to offer. Much of the information provided can be found in more in-depth guides that are not gender specific and are much better written.

“The Sexually Dominant Woman|The Sexually Dominant Woman” by Lady Green, is a beginner’s guide for the sadistically curious on female domination. Written from a woman’s point of view, it is an introductory guide slanted to D/s play between a female novice domme and her male would be submissive. It doesn’t contain any information for lesbian or bisexual women wanting to dominate a female submissive, and for that reason I didn’t find it as helpful as it might have been. However, there is some useful information in here if you know very little about D/s, BDSM or female dominance.
There are thirteen chapters in all including: What is sexual domination?, Styles of sexual domination, Playing with roles, Playing with sensation, as well as Tips for physical and emotional safety. The chapters are all very short and explain things like consentuality, communication, types of play (bondage|Safe and consensual BDSM experience, role playing, sensation), and safety issues. In the chapter on bondage, Lady Green describes the various types of constraints such as hand-cuffs|Handcuffs - Wrist and ankle cuffs - BDSM, cock rings|Cock Rings, harnesses|Dildo harnesses, ball gags, blindfolds|Blindfolds, masks and mouth gags, hoods, and rope work. It includes a very crude drawing of tying the wrists together. The chapter on role-playing lists various scenarios like Mistress/slave, Teacher/child, Captor/captive, and feminization (forcing a man to dress in women’s clothing). The chapter on sensation play briefly explains pleasure and pain and the various sensory zones: nipples, back, genitals, buttocks, and anus. It touches on flagellation, spanking and anal play, again very briefly. The remaining chapters talk about aftercare, safety, and breaks down an imaginary scene from start to finish. The back of the book lists various resources, mostly other books by Greenery Press including "Family Jewels|Family Jewels", "SM101: A Realistic Introduction|SM101: A Realistic Introduction", "Jay Wiseman's Erotic Bondage Handbook|Jay Wiseman's Erotic Bondage Handbook", "The Seductive Art of Japanese Bondage|Seductive Art of Japanese Bondage" and "The Mistress Manual|The Mistress Manual".
For the most part the book had little to offer. Much of the information provided can be found in more in-depth guides that are not gender specific and are much better written such as Pat Califia’s excellent books “Sensuous Magic” and “Bitch Goddess: The Spiritual Path of the Dominant Woman”, “Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns|Screw The Roses, Send Me the Thorns: The Romance and Sexual Sorcery of Sadomasochism” by Philip Miller and “Different Loving: The World of Sexual Dominance and Submission” by William Brame. All of this information is very basic and can be found on BDSM websites that include resources on the D/s lifestyle.

Follow-up commentary
4 days after original review
I just finished reviewing “The Mistress Manual: A Good Girl’s Guide to Female Dominance” which is an excellent book on the same subject as this one. In comparison, "the Mistress Manual" is a far superior guide with much more content and useful information, practical scene and fantasy scenarios that one could use in real life situations, more detail on each subject and is well-written to boot. I gave “The Mistress Manual|The Mistress Manual" a overall "5-star" rating.

So you can find better information online?

I definitely have. There are many good resource bdsm sites.

On a random tangent since I'm reviewing this book, I just wanted to make a mention that yes, this is one of the most lacking femdom books out there, *but* if you look at the copyright, this is actually the first public femdom book. The others come after this book or later. So I sorta forgive it. But there are better resources that exist now.
