The Rest of Carrie's Story
This book picks up where Carrie's Story left off and gets you sucked back into the S&M world. If you liked the first book, then you MUST read this one. Overall it was a great read and I liked it even better than the first.

Safe Word by Molly Weatherfield is the sequel to Carrie's Story, which is a S&M novel. Like the first book, this one was also well written and very easy to get sucked into. This book continues where the first one left off, after Carrie was sold at the auction. The cover on this one is not very discreet, but in my opinion it is more discreet than the first cover. I read this one on the train with the cover out of direct sight, but I am sure some people might have noticed. It is paperback and doesn't take up much space in a bag so that you can sneak some reading time wherever you dare to.
At the end of the last book Carrie got sold to a new master and would be taken to Greece to serve out her year with him. She also received a letter from Jonathan telling her that he would be waiting for her when she finished her year of service. I thought this book was going to be written in a way that left the reader wondering if she would meet Jonathan, but instead it started with them meeting and ,through Carrie telling stories, went through Carrie's year with Mr. Constant.
Something interesting about this book that was different from the last one is that the story is not just told through Carrie this time around, it alternates with Jonathan's perspective. I like this because it makes Jonathan seem more real than he did in the first book. As I mentioned in my review of Carrie's Story, I really enjoy knowing what is going on in the heads of characters that I am reading about. I prefer stories that are told from at least 2 points of view so that I can get a better idea of what made character X do something and why character Y chose to handle things the way they did. It was also fun to hear about things that had happened to Jonathan while Carrie was away, such as his encounter with a male slave and also the punishment he received for not abiding by the rules of the organization.
During her time with Mr. Constant, Carrie went through more intensive pony training and even became a good racing pony under the control of her new master and trainers. She also experienced new forms of punishment and humiliation on the farm/ranch with the other ponies. I really liked reading about Carrie's interactions with her trainers and the fact that she was exposed to new (and old) slaves throughout the book. There were so many new people to use and punish Carrie and this was fun to read about.
I found the sex scenes and sexual content in general that was included in this book to be much more arousing than the last book. There was also some more variety to it because it was not just focused on Jonathan and Carrie, or even Carrie and Mr. Constant only. So if you read Carrie's Story and were upset because there was not tons of sex, then you will be happier with the sequel.
I will not give away the ending, because there is a twist that I wasn't expecting. At first I was upset by the way this one ended, but then I thought that if it ended the way I wanted it to then readers would be demanding a third book (well I know I would).

Experience
Due to the fact that there was a lot more sex in this book, I found myself turned on a lot more than the last book. I enjoyed the variety that was present in this one, which included both female and male masters and slaves. This book definitely made me need to take out a toy a couple of times, so if this is your kind of erotic novel, then it will definitely be a turn on.
This book is about 250 pages, and was a very fast read for me (as most books about sex are). I really got sucked into Carrie and her story, and I kind of wish that there was another book. I guess I will have to find a new series to start!

Follow-up commentary

Although I have not yet read this book again, I know I will. As I mentioned, I really liked this book more than the first one. If you read Carrie's Story then I don't know how you can go without reading this one! Both of these books really got me interested in reading more S&M short stories and novels. I highly recommend this one!
