The more tame of the three.
If you have read the first two, this is a MUST READ. You get to see more of the first shades of Mr. Grey and the drama of he and Ana's lives. And, it does not lack any smut!

Repetitive
I read this series in only three days. The books all stand well on their own but the third was very different from the first two. In this book, the dominance you see in the first two sort of diminishes. It's still spicy and sexy but it has a different feeling than the first two. Out of all three of the books, this is my least favourite. I think it's because after three books, you'd expect the writing to be better and it's all the same repetitious stuff like the first two books, which is fine, but it could have been better. It makes me miss the old Fifty that you see in Grey.
After the second book, you are left off with Ana and Christian's new engagement, and all of the drama with Jack Hyde and "Mrs. Robinson". In the third book, you start off with the newly married couple on their expensive European honeymoon. There is quite a bit of knocking heads in the new marriage, but a lot of making up too! Because, let's face it, we did not read these books for the plot.
Though the writing is repetitious, and it is not a surprise, there are a lot of spicy things. There are so many different locations. Ana and Fifty get down in a yacht, a couch, an airplane, a shower, a bathtub, a picnic blanket and, saving the best for last, the red satin bed in the Red Room of Pain. And it isn't just vanilla, you get to see the flogger, the cross, the grid, and the butt plug make appearances. Though all the sex is missing the beloved grey tie, it does make an appearance in a more innocent way.
If you've read the first two, you must continue to this one. You can't leave at the cliffhanger of their engagement and miss out on all the drama, and the wonderful smut. You get to see a new, softer side of Fifty and the ups and downs of their new marriage. It is definitely worth reading!
