Felice Newman is a somatic coach, sex educator, and one of the founders of Cleis Press, publisher of over 200 books by various well-known sex authors/experts on the contemporary American sexual landscape. This woman knows women and knows sex, drawing on years of research and personal experience.

Basic female anatomy, orgasms, finding partners, toys, desires, fetishes, fantasies, safe sex, clitoral play, breast play, vaginal penetration, anal penetration, oral sex, play parties . . . this book covers it all! Not only that but it lists additional resources (websites, books, groups, authors etc) where you can go to get even more information! Throughout the book there are also helpful diagrams for those that might be a bit more visually inclined.

Despite the vast number of topics the author covers the writing flows very nicely. Transitions between topics are smooth and do not feel awkward like in so many other books that try to be an 'all-in-one' resource. Each chapter and section can also easily stand alone, making it not the type of book you need to read from start to finish. While I did read it cover to cover I did so non-sequentially, using it more as a reference and it is still the only book I look to first on any topic.

Ok, I like organization and this book is very well organized, especially since it contains so much information on so many topics. This is one of the things that make it such an invaluable resource. Like any other book it is of course divided into chapters but those chapters are grouped into very distinctive and highly useful sections. All topics and chapters are neatly outlined in the table of contents, allowing one to easily locate and flip to whatever topic they might be searching for.
