The Bathtime Book
Erotica, Three Tales of Lust and Passion is a big tease. The story of a young naughty designer that finds herself in many lustful situations. However, there is no punchline; no finish. Where is the rest of the story?

Pros
Inexpensive, descriptive.
Cons
Very small book.
Erotica was a very frustrating read for me. It is three tales of lust and passion. The book contains three chapters, and is 160 pages long. When I got this book in the mail I was super excited. I love love love to read erotic fiction. Well it was a little disappointing at first sight. The book is about the size of a credit card, but obviously thicker. I was surprised at first. I did not think I would even be able to read the pages. But the words are actually the size of a normal book, just less on a page. So I got over the fact that this was a mini book. And decided to read it.
The book is broke up into three chapters, but all are about the same woman. Her name is Mara. And she is a young, beautiful, and rather naughty designer. I split the book up into three nights. I took the book to my bath with me and read one chapter at a time.
The first chapter was an introduction to Mara, and who she is. The literature is good, and the descriptiveness is very distinct. However at the end of the chapter I was disappointed. I don't want to say to much so that I ruin the story for you, but I was left with suspense. I felt like I got right to the climax of the tale, and then no finish. Hmmm... so I let that go and then decided to read chapter two on the next night.
The second chapter gave a little more heat to me. More lust and passion was introduced. Mara had found herself in a dungeon with a man and his "slave wife," and then involved in the actual scenario. I began thinking, wow, this is getting good. But then, no finish. I decided this book was just a teaser, and it must just be one of those books that gives you part of the story, and you have to buy the longer version for the rest. I have to say it was frustrating.
Last night I finally ran a bath, lit a candle, and read chapter three. Now we are talking! Chapter three was packed with many love scenarios, and surprisingly Mara was able to finish what she started a few times. The third chapter reminded me of one of those "secret sex gatherings" you hear about, but have never been to. You know a group swinging session. The third chapter was pretty good. I enjoyed it, and it was excellent compared to the previous two. But I still feel that there could have been more.
Overall the book did jump around a little too much for my taste. And the fact that it fits in the palm of my hand was also a little annoying. I do think that the author has great descriptive writing, and quite the dirty mind indeed. But the overall plot was lacking so much. It was like listening to an amazing song, and then having the end cut off. Not too tasteful. So I would recommend it as a teaser book. It can get me a little heated, but right when it gets to the best part, BAM, a new chapter! It was worth the price, but still leaves me wondering where the rest of the story is.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
To be 100% honest, I have not given this little book a second look since the first time I read it. Actually I think it is stuffed away in my dresser somewhere. It was short, and not something that I prefer to read more than once. A book must be something very special for me to read it twice, and Erotica just did not cut it. Although it is cute, and would be a great little gift; the flop around story was not my favorite read.

Great review! I agree, why waste your time reading it again?.. nothings changed.

In all actuality, all books are a waste of time because nothing changes. But it's really sad that this didn't even have a climax or anything.

Ooh sounds like my maybe kind of book. Well at least chapter 3 sounds like my kind of book. And really that small but still with 160 pages hhhmm. Thanks for the review.
