I am new to reviewing so please be patient with me. The Story of O is my partner's favorite movie. I watched it and thought it was okay. There were parts that visually just made me uncomfortable. I was nowhere near ready for a hardcore dive into actually seeing the acts take place. He mentioned wanting the book and I found it here and purchased it. I happen to be an avid reader; I lose myself in books. I have to say I loved the story as it unfolded in written word. It spoke to me in a way the movie did not. Any role I wished was open to me fantasizing myself into. If you are the type who loses yourself in a good book, or inserts yourself into different roles, this is a book in which you can explore multiple sides of the lifestyle. See which causes your heart to race and your insides to melt.

It explores the subtle core of the lifestyle, the sacrifices, emotional struggles and obstacles of living the lifestyle in your everyday life. It shows that a submissive can be full of fire and spice. The willingness of the slave is paramount for the relationship to work. I found it thought-provoking and a great way to safely explore different aspects of the lifestyle.

This book opened up my imagination and allowed me to explore the lifestyle from multiple sides of the fence. I am so glad my partner asked for this book! Now we both can enjoy this wonderful world of erotic exploration in ways that speak to us individually and as a couple. The book cover was glossy and the print was easy to read. It was not bulky, so curling up on your bed with your favorite toy is very possible and, I might add, pleasurable.
