The Compleat Spanker is a lovely little book that is completely dedicated to the art of spanking. The author, Lady Green, provides 87 pages that cover everything from who spanks to what to use and how. I found this to be a quick read that had lots of information.

The first section is an introduction about Lady Green's personal introduction to spanking, experience with spanking and how this book's creation came about. There are a total of 11 sections ranging from 3 to 9 pages followed by some appendixes with additional information. Lady Green provides a section on the different types of people who enjoy spanking in order to make the reader feel more comfortable about their interest in the subject and then begins to ease into the meat of the book.

One section that I found to be interesting was the Anatomy of a Spankee. In this section, Lady Green identified the appropriate areas on the body for spanking and explained WHY these areas are ideal and why others are not safe for spanking. There is even a diagram of the buttock and thighs that show the bones, veins, and muscles along with the 'sweet spot' that is every spanker's favorite target. Safety is covered in several areas of the book, including how to purposely leave marks and dangers of bodily fluids. Lady Green also covers Communication and Mood, which ensure that all parties involved are aware of what to expect and what is expected of them.

My absolute favorite part of the book was the section on implements. Lady Green discussed the different types, purposes, and techniques for each implement. Nothing was left out either. She talked about hands, canes, birches, paddles, straps, floggers...if you can spank with it, she mentions it! The implements section was followed with different positions to use for spanking, which really got me thinking!

And if you still have more questions, there is a section all about troubleshooting. The problems involved in spanking can range from emotional injuries to physical injuries and Lady Green includes recommendations on how to deal with all of these. The last portion of the book includes tips and tricks to give you more ideas, especially if you are a beginning spanker. The conclusion is followed by appendixes on finding other spankers, caring for your implements, combining bondage with spanking, and a resource guide.

The only negative thing about this little book is the cheesy illustrations throughout the book. The drawings aren't so great but you get the idea of what they are trying to convey. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book. It gave me some great ideas for both my fantasy life and my real life. I think that beginners and advanced spankers alike could learn something from reading this book.
Follow-up commentary
This book is still a great reference for ideas. I don't really have anything new to add to the review itself. The book has held up with use and the few months that have passed. I still reccomend it for beginning spankers for ideas on implements and fantasies.

Did they ever explain the typo on the front cover? Does it reference something?

You know, I wondered about that too. It's not mentioned in the book, but through a little research I found why it is used in the title. Compleat is defined as '1.Of or characterized by a highly developed or wide-ranging skill or proficiency or 2.Being an outstanding example of a kind; quintessential.' by freedictionary.com. Now that I know that, it makes perfect sense, hope that helps!

Actually, that's not a typo - it means "Of or characterized by a highly developed or wide-ranging skill or proficiency"
