It has an end
This is an awesome book. It will have you in tears over and over again… (Especially if your menopausal…hehehehe) Seriously. This is a really good book.
It wraps around the life of the author after she has had their first baby. Once she has had this little bundle of joy she is so surprised to find that the desire she once had for sex had taken a hike. Before the baby sew was good…. Real good according to the book. But after baby Ramona.. Well, not so hot…. In fact somewhat cold. When she first realized the problem she rather dismissed it as well I am just too tired, busy, and consumed with the thought of the baby. However, after time slips by and her sex desire does not return she begins to see that it is hurting her marriage. That is when she decides it is time to take action and do something about it.
So she begins on what turns out to be a deep study on Sex. What it really means to here. How it affects more than the bedroom. Heidi begins to examine in detail every aspect of her marriage. Fortunately for us, she share in humorous and yet serious detail this entire journey. One that not only is beneficial to her marriage, but can also be to ours. She finds she loves SEX. Not likes, not tolerates, not endures, not anything but really really enjoys it.
She tells us how she found it through exercise, reading, trial and error, and just plain old doing it. This is not some techno journal on New Age advice. Instead, it is a down to earth practical book, written in such a way as not to bore you to tears. Its about surviving and thriving in your sex life in the midst of dirty diapers, lack of free time, and dealing with the after pregnancy pounds that just like to take up residency. It is a book written to dads and momsHer writing on the subject is much needed today and so wonderfully put together. It will be a book you just do not want to put down. She writes on how she discussed these things with her husband and got him to take part in her study… (Yea like that would be hard…. ) Nevertheless, through this entire book, Heidi does not only focus on her libido, but she never loses focus on her child and being a mommy too.

Follow-up commentary
7 months after original review
I pulled this out and re-read some of the pages I had dog eared as the better parts. Yup it is still a good read for a second time.
