Almost Heaven starts out in a waiting room; Angie (Kiara Diane), who is the star of the movie, is sitting on a couch waiting to be called. Angie does not know where she is or why she is there. Along with her is Alice (Victoria White). Angie asks Alice what she is waiting for and she says her husband. A few minutes later Alice is called back into the office, and then you see Alice and her husband leave. Finally Angie is called back in to the office by Sara (Allie Haze). Sara leads Angie to Michael's (Xander Corvus) office, and as Sara hands Angie’s folder to Michael you see a sticky note saying “Have a Great Day”, which Michael disregards. Angie is told that she is now deceased and must pick one memory from her whole life to move on to heaven. Angie has a hard time trying to choose. Michael gives her some help by telling her of another woman’s memory that she picked, which happens to be about the woman’s husband. They are in a garden having tea, she gets a little frisky, and so her husband helps her out in the garden. This leads to an amazing sex scene. Then the scene returns to Angie in Michael’s office, and she asks how much time she has to make her decision and then gets up and leaves. As does Michael, but he first throws away the sticky note that Sara had left him.
The next scene is in the break room and shows Sara talking with another employee. After Michael enters the other employee leaves. Sara asks Michael if he would like her to make some coffee and he says yes. While she is making the coffee Sara daydreams that Michael came in the break room to thank her for the note. In her daydream they have a great time having sex. But as she returns to her senses she realizes this doesn’t happen. Michael then leaves with some co-workers and doesn’t even think to ask Sara to come along. As Sara is returning to the other room, she notices Angie on the bench outside. Angie asks her what was wrong and they begin talking about how Sara would love for Michael to pay more attention to her. She tells Angie about the note. Angie asks Sara why she hasn’t picked a memory and she says she just hasn’t found one yet. As they are talking, Alice and her husband walk up and Angie asks what her memory was, which leads into the next sex scene.
After that Angie decides to go lay down and hopes a memory will come to her. As she is lying there in the bed, she starts thinking about the memories. The day she met her husband, her wedding day, and the day he proposed to her. She finally figures out the memory that she would like to keep. She goes down the stairs and there is Paul and Sara talking. She asks Sara if she thinks it would be okay to see Michael now that she has her memory. Sara goes to Michael’s office, but meanwhile Paul asks what her memory is and she said it isn’t just one thing but a bunch of small things. And Paul agrees that it is mostly the small things that make the difference.
Sara comes back out and tells Angie that Michael is waiting for her. She tells Michael the memory and also pulls the sticky note that Sara gave to him out of the garbage and reminds him that it’s the small things. The next thing you see is Sara in another room jotting something down in her notebook, and in the background you see Michael. Michael walks up to her and says that he never did thank her for that note. Michael gives Sara a kiss, and then you see Angie in a bed. In the last scene it shows Angie reliving her memories.
