Required Reading for Butt Sex
If you’re looking at Anal-eaze (please don't), get this instead. If you’re starting with your first butt plug or venturing into handballing, get this. I’m far more excited about playing with other people’s asses than my own, but this book actually makes me want to do more self-exploration.

Pros
Everything. It's one of the most well-written and thorough books on sexuality I've ever seen.
Cons
None. If you're even looking at this review, you should probably be buying this book.
I cannot recommend this book enough to anyone even thinking about anal play. Anal Pleasure & Health|Anal Pleasure & Health is not just a guide to sexual pleasure involving the ass, though there's plenty of that. Jack Morin calls on readers to develop a conscious and healthy relationship with our butts, every part. Think of this book as a practical guide to the biology of your body, realistic and personal approach to working through anal tension, and excellent manual to any form of anal stimulation.
Morin talks throughout the book about the strong anal taboo of our modern western culture. And you know, he’s right- I thought as little about my own ass as possible, and was firmly against any kind of anal play, either giving or receiving, for years. Then one time I allowed a fuck buddy to slip a finger up my butt, and I liked it so much that I decided to get over this hang-up of mine (not to mention, I have a general goal to get over most sexual hang-ups I encounter). I got really excited about other people's butts too, but still had some 'ick' factor fears to deal with. I’m a reader, and heard enough good things about Anal Pleasure|Introduction to anal sex guide that I decided to own it (trust me, it’s worth owning, not just reading once or twice).
I’m also a snob; Morin maintains a balance of intellect, practicality, and even touchy-feely talk (the kind I usually consider nonsense) that satisfied even me. Most books that tell the reader to get into a bath and touch themselves gently, think about how their anus (or any other body part) feels, etc. leave me fed up with even the idea of getting more in touch with my body. However, he’s not called “Dr. Anal” for nothing- Morin manages to provide complete anatomical information while also easing readers into exploration of this sensitive region. He talks through the fear of feces, both sides of the taboo around anal sex|Anal sex taboos (the “Naughtiness Factor”, for those who enjoy this taboo), various permutations of sexuality, and addresses every single person alive. We all have anuses, after all. You’ll probably learn something new about where the things that go into your butt actually go (hint: not usually into the colon), how to increase muscle control, and any number of other useful physical and psychological facts about your own butt and how to make it feel good.
So, get the book now, before it goes out of print again (as it was for months the first time I tried to find it)!
