Please, Sir, can I have some more?
This themed book of erotica will arouse and delight anyone interested in the 'harder' side of female submission and male dominance. Its various stories explore a range of scenes and dynamics from negotiations to punishment and rough party play.

Pros
Unique and varied stories, good number of selections, caters to the 'darker side' of BDSM.
Cons
Non-discreet cover, may be too 'hardcore' for some, only explores Male/Female D/s scenes.
It isn't often that a collection of erotica specifically catches my eye, but after picking this up I realized I couldn't not take it home. This collection, edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel and published by Cleis Press, features twenty-two stories featuring women being submissive to men. It's been tailored to a very specific audience, but does its job well.
I won't say too much about the cover other than that it's very hot and not very discreet. Even the most innocent observer is going to raise an eyebrow if they see you reading this on the subway.
Now, for the book itself; Even though the entire collection centers on male dominance from a female submissive's point of view, each story is unique in style, setting, and premise. I loved that some of the women in these stories happened upon kink by accident, some of them sought it out as almost a secret longing, and some of them were in it from the very beginning. There was a Domme submitting (no limits) to an old client, a man and a woman negotiating a 'business merger', and a lucky woman who didn't bring home the correct pasta. There were contracted D/s relationships, women who experimented submitting to multiple men at the dinner table, and one woman in particular who stayed late after a martial arts class to flirt with her instructor.
I really liked all of the stories, but I don't think all of them are for everyone. Firstly, while some of these tales involve verbal submission only, I think the general nature of the book leans towards something more 'hardcore' than a lot of erotica I've flipped through in the past. This was one reason I like this collection so much, but fans of soft, loving, sensual kinky stories may not appreciate the themes in this book as much. Some of the harder scenes involve heavy spanking, caning, rough sex, watersports, scalding showers, and public bondage.
One thing I thought was really unique about this collection, despite the hardcore tendencies, was how real the stories felt. The characters were well-developed within a short time-span and the thoughts and feelings of the submissive women were well played out within the text. I appreciated being able to relate to how they were feeling in each scene and where their desires stemmed from.
I'll be the first to admit this collection isn't for everyone, but if you get turned on by the thoughts of women submitting to men with a bit of rough kink thrown in, I certainly recommend you check out "Please, Sir". When you're done, you can read it to a friend or partner for even more fun!

Experience
M asked me one night to kneel by his bed and read a few of my favourite stories out loud to him from this collection. It had me wet within seconds and he rather enjoyed it as well. I think any heterosexual, BDSM loving couple with such a male/female dynamic would love at least a good portion of these stories, and they really are fantastic read out loud. I got M back a few nights later by making him read one to me.
