While I've read a lot of erotica (and I do mean a lot), truly good femdom stories are hard to come across, especially for a dominant woman. A lot of the things I've read are either aimed almost entirely at the male reader (IE: short, very sexual, and without much backstory) or just plain too niche-specific for my tastes. However, "Please, Ma'am" was a pleasant surprise to say the least, and is definitely something that I'd recommend to an up-and-coming domme like myself for light reading material.

First of all, the physical look of the book made me very happy. Being a subtle sort of girl, I was reluctantly anticipating a wide, slender tome, but was happy to find that it's fairly small in size and thicker than I was expecting. It looks like...well, a full-length novel, not just smut. And the whole look of it is fairly subtle; no nudity, no big "THIS IS PORN" in bold letters on the front or back. This is a volume I won't be worried about being found.

Secondly, every single story - I mean it, from beginning to end - was HOT.

And I'm not talking about just being sexy. I'm talking theory, language, style, and actual content. Each one of the stories had a deeper theme, and they all were written to be masturbated to, but more than a few of them made me smile and warmed my heart. Several of them were downright romantic, while others were purely feral instinct.

As a writer of fiction and erotica myself, I was impressed and pleased with the quality throughout the book. Not one of the sweet short stories was a disappointment. I even found a couple of new fetishes to play around with!

Although I wouldn't say this is a good book for examples, it definitely provides insight for any new domme or male submissive into what daily life is like for those of us who choose to make it a lifestyle. The narrative style of many of the stories gives them an intimate feel, making it seem like you're peeking into their diaries.

I would recommend it to anyone into femdom; there really wasn't a story in there I didn't enjoy, so there isn't a risk of wasting money involved at all. Although the title begs for you to enjoy it, any reader should be left gasping a thank you to the authors!

Even after owning this book for awhile the stories are still heartwarming and privately warming for many reasons. I still enjoy flipping through it when I'm in the mood and it hasn't gotten old. I'll definitely be looking for more of these collections.
